Ok guys, the only bad thing about there possibly being pre-orders tomorrow and in-store availability on Monday is this thread may not live on to beat the Dinc thread! hehe

If VZW does get them in-store on Monday, how long will it be before Best Buy gets theirs? I want to buy there due to a gift card I have, but if it means waiting a week, I will just save the BB GC for something else :)
 
Well it might be the fact about being activated or someone could just ask if I buy this phone and use it how long would I have to return and exchange if I do not like it.

Crazy thing I saw a lady trying to buy a hotspot and return when she was done with it because her phone didn't tether they straight up told her sorry ma'am we an no longer sell you this device knowing you will return it. Store manager had even came out saying the same.
 
What's this talk about adjusting the release date to be just outside the rezound launch date window? Wasn't the return period extended until January for all phones bought since nov 15th? There's no 14 day thing going on right now as far as I know. I'm renting my rezound right after my billing cycle hits on the 20th so I don't have to pay for it until January.

I said it before...this thread has had tons more content shared than the Incredible thread ever had. So if you go by content and not number of posts this wins.

If you go by characters and pure entertainment value of an uncontrollable lunatic mob, this thread has a ways to go still...believe it or not.

Thanks! It's actually from an 8x8 pixel rattan background pattern from the Linux/KDE environment that I tiled and colored. You're right, the old Windows versions had something similar -- maybe that's where KDE got it?

Here's the original b&w image, and I'd be happy to make a custom image if you like.

If there is a preorder...will those of us who want to buy it in store be out of luck? What are the chances of it completely selling out?

I caved and bought a RAZR two days ago but I am going in on Monday to trade it out. I am hoping it doesn't get sold out before I am able to purchase one!

Unless battery life is truly terrible on this thing, I may be one of those lost souls who spent a ton of time in here and did NOT end up with a Nexus.

This is why I don't think VZW is worried about the 14 return period for those who bought the Rezound on/before the 14th. 99% that bought the phone did because of advertisements or happened to see it when they went into the store looking for the phone. The odds that the general public are going to run back to the store and exchange their phones when the SGN comes out are pretty low.

I said I had been reading up online regarding the release date and he said that it will be available to pre-order tomorrow and they will have them IN-STORE on Monday. He's an extremely trusted source, accurately confirming the Incredible and Thunderbolt release dates before Verizon announced them, so I trust his word on this. Just to add to the confirmation of these dates! I AM EXCITED BEYOND BELIEF :)

BTW this whole GNex anticipation has gotten in the way of my schoolwork lol. I haven't done my homework for a few nights because I simply can't stop updating reddit/this thread regarding new information o.o

Also curious about this with the talk of supply shortages a couple weeks back.

If I pre-order tomorrow, will it come saturday or monday? If it comes monday, I'd be better off going to the store to pick it up since UPS/Fedex don't get to my house until after 5:00PM

Bought a ReZound on 11/15 with intention of returning for Galaxy Nexus. When I asked at the store about the return policy they insisted 14 days. However at the bottom of my receipt it clearly states I can return until 1/9 or whatever the date in January was supposed to be. I will post a photo of said receipt later so all you doubters have proof.
 
I noticed something about the new Android.com... if you look at the very bottom left corner there's an Android robot that does some interesting actions, seemingly at random. However there is one action where he does some Semaphore flag signals, which was part of the first GNex Twitter challenge... Oooh :D

Yep I called quite a few stores in my area actually, some knew and some didn't. Interestingly enough the store near me is actually not a true Verizon retail store, it's "The Cellular Connection" (authorized Verizon reseller). Not many people work there and it's a simple storefront but damn do the few guys who work there know what they're talking about... They work there because they want to, not because they have to (unlike most Verizon retail employees).

So they told you straight up no and still went ahead? That's fine with me, but I wouldn't want to be in your shoes when you're fighting with 10 different csr's to swap out your phone.

Just not a battle I want to fight.

Edit: I'm not saying verizon isn't misguiding people with the way the policy is shown to us. I'm saying our definition, and their definition aren't the same, and you might get problems and have to fight to get your exchange.
