I just called my local store in Philly and he said they dont have an exact date yet and he said "pretty sure it got pushed back a little bit"...idk what to take from that...

Correct me if I'm wrong... but the VZW specific "how to" videos being posted also has to be a really good sign that the release is very imminent, right? How has that played out with past phones (days between videos up and phone releases)?

Well - please be positive. No need to be harsh to low level employees who have zero to do with this decision at all.

We choose this stress, we don't need to choose more for them, imo. :) ;)

Yeah, besides they have enough to deal with from those of us actually going to the store and asking every day what the latest info is, and hoping for a scoop. (Looks at Steven)

All you guys on the OG droid, don't know how you did it. I was rocking the OG droid too, but I used the insurance to upgrade to the D2G over the summer. That phone at least is a bit faster, etc., and helped to get me over my OG blues. So, insurance at least helps with something.....

You plan isn't expensive enough to qualify for fifty. Less expensive plans onlynget $30

Pffft... I have 5 lines, 3 of them smart phones. My freaking bill is like $260 a month.

I think they figure I'm stupid enough to pay that much a month then they can doink me for another $20 on a phone.

They will leave it at the door with a signature release note/letter. I've done everytime I've ordered a phone from VZW. But I do think that it is somewhat the discreation of the driver if he feels ok leaving it.

There's Direct, Indirect, or no signature. I'm pretty sure I remember Verizon using Direct.

Direct - Signature is required at delivery
Indirect - Driver will leave form on the door for you to sign if you want them to drop off at door the next day.
no - no sig required

Some drivers will drop it with a note on the front door the first day for direct/indirect. Depends on the driver.

releasing on Black friday is dumb. Im not spending my day trying to get a phone with all that hassle of dealing with the crowd. Please let it be before..

someone mentioned this morning that we may be at a pace to hit 34k tonight and someone quickly shot down that notion.... goes to show that nothing can stop this train until its released :p

Haha I remember that. I guess it was a busy evening!

and everyone inquiring about delivery drivers leaving/not leaving your package at the door, you really got to get to know these guys. both my ups and fedex drivers know to leave it here no matter what, if a sig is required just scratch something down for me lol

So... if this pans out... I'm in a dilemma. I'm going out of town on Monday for a week. Nobody will be there to sign on Monday. Do I preorder with a ship address of where I am now or where I'm going to be?! Doh!!!!
