Do you think it's possible to put an NFC tag in my jeans pocket so that it activates certain low-power features when it's in there? That would be amazing, actually.

I still think it's monday announcement, phone on tuesday/wednesday. Just my guess tho

What are they going to move off the vzw homepage to make space, the Rezound? Or maybe they can squeeze the Gnex between the Razr and 4 day web sale? :confused:

Yeah but those settings would remain when you take it out of your pocket...

They updated the verizon site with a new sale that ends on the 21st. The droid charge is on sale, maybe trying to sell some before the new samsung phone comes in to replace it?!? Maybe it ends on the 21st since that is when they will release the gn.

Hi all -
I guess I'm also what you'd call a 'lurker' - I've come to these forums a lot and done a lot of reading over the last few months, but never commented. I'm very excited about the GNex! I have a Droid Charge, which I purchased in May...it's been an O.K. phone, but not fabulous. I've been very pissed off about Verizon/Samsung's neglect and seeming total abandonment of this phone. Which helped me decide that the only other Android phone I'd purchase after the Charge experience is a Nexus. Oh, yeah, my phone prior to the Charge was the OG Droid. Which I was also unhappy about the lack of updates pushed/not pushed out by VZW.

Anyway...I've enjoyed reading a lot of the commentary on here - and like the community. And, I appreciate that people are generally pretty civil on here! Which is a really nice thing to see.

I want this phone...wish VZW would let us order already!

Ooh, this means we could see orders go right up on Monday instantly? The manager I contacted earlier today (my source) told me they might not even be doing pre-orders at all... but that they would definitely have the phone on Monday.

It will definitely go on sale Monday morning since that is the only day I can't go into work late to go pick it up. :(

Are there any particular kind/brand/size to look for? Where do you suggest getting them from tagstand?
