***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

Grain of salt and all that jaz... Anyway, I stopped in my corporate store to look at the Razr and ask about the SGN. I ran into my next door neighbors and after pleasantries they asked me what phone I was looking at getting. I mentioned the SGN but it wouldn't be available until next week. The salesman had walked up behind me and he said, "Yes, it will be next week, the 21st". He stated the date, not me.

We talked about it for a while and I asked him about Monday, if it was on-line only or if it would be in stores. He said that he thought it was an on-line pre-order. He thinks he will get in a SGN for display purposes over the weekend and will have it in store on Monday. He is supposed to call me when he gets it in and I can swing by to check it out.
 
OK, came over from DroidForums and have been lurking here. Still waiting on the Nexus to make my final decision between SGN and Razr to replace my OG Droid. I know I know all the reasons why the SGN is better. Razr however does have its advantages and when outfitted with ICS will be a competitor for sure, which is why its still in the running.
Anyway, the main point of this post-- I have a friend who is in VZ Wireless Corporate Sales. I texted him earlier for any info. He replied "Proprietary info with the Nexus.." Then I asked "Before Thanksgiving?" to which he replied "Maybe Black Friday, who knows".
Anyway, I hope he's wrong and its still set for Monday, but wanted to throw it out there.
Been eagerly awaiting an upgrade for my Droid for 3 months now. It wasn't 'that' bad waiting until a few weeks ago when I upgraded my wife's Eris for an iPhone 4s. Now its rough.

Just saying, it seems like an aweful lot of trouble for them to go through to not utilize it at all.

I remember signing up for the OG Droid announcement; I don't think they ever sent me anything, and if they did it was after the phone was already released and I had it in my hands.

It took me FOREVER to find what she actually txt'd because he put it in quotes and it got dropped from all the re-quotes.

Just got a call back from someone else in the VP's office. They are fiddling with the MEID number and will have it activated in a few minutes.

Supposedly.
 
Trying to play catch up and I am stuck with Iron Maiden in my head. Thanks to all those back at 666. Han good call on going with big red font, my usual scanning method is to look for many "thanks" then I know the info is crucial.

Oh yeah and all you creepers out there who keep lurking, time is running out to join the chaos.

I will most certainly be staying up till midnight Sunday night, unless we get confirmation they will be in the stores on Monday. I want mine as soon as possible.

Annnnnddddddd my OG just died. It just freaks out and half of the screen is no longer responsive. Crap, since this is a corporate phone, I am going to try to sweet talk our admin director into getting me a Nexus next week hoping and praying that the monday pre-order will go, otherwise I will get a rezound and hope that it can be traded in for the Nexus (difficult company policies, not Verizon issues)

Oh, and this is my one an hour post.

Yep same here. Going to be stumbling into work the next morning sleepy but it'll be worth it!
