It would be very bad for me if the phone is delayed 'til 12/8. The wife wants her iPhone 4s and doesn't want to wait past next week. She also doesn't want us to have separate plans. I may be stuck with AT&T and importing a nexus for insane amounts of $$$. Sad face..
 
I just remembered something. Grain of salt of course. Someone on here said they were putting up stuff sunday night at VW? When I talked to a verizon rep he said the next phone they are going to get in would be the GN. Does that mean anything?

Phil does not comment on every rumor that comes out daily unlike Kellex, P3 etc. etc., he posts when he hears something thats very very likely. So when I see him post something like that it brings my hope meter DOWN. If BMX tweets something about it my meter will be a hard 0. FWIW I pray everyone and their mother is wrong and we get to order next week.

Perhaps it is the migraine medicine talking but this just f'n sucks. I can't believe I fell victim again. I allowed myself to believe it was actually coming out AGAIN. My fault, I should have learned...from the last ten times.
 
I'd like for the gmail attachment to be fake for the sanity of the people of AF, but here is something to keep in mind. Many companies are now using Google Apps instead of Outlook as a cost savings measure. No way I could confirm for this instance, but don't rule out the possibility. My Alma mater switched to Google Apps and our internal school email used the same Gmail layout. Just lending perspective...

You'd probably want to watch out for the fangs too. I hear they have some interesting side effects.
 
Guys, I know December 8 sounds terrible, and it is. But for those of you who are on dying, crapped out phones, I suggest you take the same route I did and write a kind and cordial email to all of the email addresses on VZ's corporate leadership page, and explain that you want to upgrade to the Nexus, but that your phone is crapping out. If you're on an expired contract, even better, because you might be able to say that you're thinking of switching to another carrier.

You might get an excellent replacement phone for a while, and you won't have to risk returning the "rental" you might buy, wait for your upgrade status to be adjusted, and then have the SGN be sold out before you are able to order it at an upgrade price.

Just my two cents. It worked for me, and it's done wonders for my anxiety.

I don't even think it is "gmail text". Look at the tab title. Notice the dimensions? I believe that is a cropped image of a text screen shot. A text screen that would not take much effort to fake.
 
Any hope google/samsung had of me buying this phone pretty much evaporates if 12/8 is the story.

With talks of HTC's super phone, and other likely phones to come trickling in, in the coming weeks, the bloom is starting to come of the rose on this phone.

Seriously, if I've waited this long, why not wait a bit longer?

Truly, the best thing anybody could do right now, to show VZ/Samsung/Google is, is to take your money and go buy the iPhone on another carrier. Make sure none of the three get your money.

Otherwise, VZ knows you want the phone, and they know you will still buy it even if you are pissed off. So really, what are you going to do to show them? You have to make sure they don't get their money.

Google has handled this terribly. At the phone's announcement, release date of 2 weeks, or at most 3 weeks out, shoudl've also been announced. Google is showing they are playing second fiddle to the carriers. Apple doesn't bow to anyone, and google bends over backwards.

It's so hard to filter through all the rumors.

Basically you have one guy with (questionable) "new" info. Then you have everyone and their mother confirming said info. All of a sudden everyone's saying "we have 4 multiple sources confirming such and such date" when really its only one leak. I'm sure EarlyMon can corroborate that.

It's not coming out in December, matias already said that. So I'm throwing out all those rumors. The rumors we have left are for 11/21 & 11/28. All I'm saying is ill be ordering my gnex before black Friday.

I did send an e-mail to one of them, and never got a response. Maybe I will just hit them all up now. I think I was too "nice" in my first e-mail.

Yup, that's where I'm at, at this point. I'm not believe jack until I see it come from Verizon directly. And even then, I'm not going to plan on it. It infuriates me that they are polluting the phone with their apps in the first place, but now they are causing the issues (purportedly)? What a joke Verizon. If you're going to force your apps onto a phone, maybe you should hire some devs that don't suck so you don't delay a phone, eh? :p

The one other plus to this is that it is a major black eye for Verizon if true. It makes them look incompetent and it also means loss of revenue. I'm sure the executives are NOT happy about this, either. They're losing sales, but then again if the RAZR conspiracy theory is true....bah, who knows. I'm done speculating. I will just wait for an official announcement (but at this point, I wouldn't be surprised if it is a silent release).
 
What I'm seeing here is the same thing we've seen on Twitter before. One "insider" leaks a possible horrible delay, and then suddenly others who previously had no information chime in and corroborate it. None of our trusted sources have said a single thing about December 8th, just leaks from unknown places. Then of course P3 would say "see, I told you so".

Maybe I just believe what I want to believe, but I'm calling a hoax on the December 8th delay, guys.

Guys, when Matias was just mentioned, it made me think something.

I thought, at first, that Matias (being a Googlite) wouldn't know what Verizon is doing. But is that really accurate? BMX has tweeted that he knows the date, but he can't share, and that he knows Verizon would like to release it before December 1.

Matias and BMX, then, are both saying November.

That sounds good enough for me.
 
Ugh. So, I signed up as a rep for my company on the Verizon Business site and he just called me back finally (after two weeks).

He said the Nexus is out on the 8th.

Take it for what it's worth... he's just a business sales rep.
