I'm testing it out. I'm going back to my original home for thanksgiving so I can test out reception there.

It's good so far. Why exactly don't I want this phone? I really want to know why you think this phone is a bad choice. Right now, I'm just gonna go a month with it, and if it's good, i'm gonna switch.

This is the second time I've been through the "stress" about a phone. I know we do it to ourselves, but if I go with T-Mobile, I know they have a history of being much more open about these things.

At this rate, I might get ICS before you do anyway.

Again where Apple is really smart. You don't have to buy from VZW... you can simply purchase a VZW phone at an Apple store. I would never buy a fruit phone... but appreciate their business savvy.
 
I know for a fact that verizon has a habbit of letting phones sit in the back of stores until they give the word. the bionic sat for weeks, i dont know if its because bloatware compatibility issues and not wanting to release before the updates were ready or what, but I think its fishy that every highly anticipated phone gets dragged out like this. quite an effed up marketing stragety if thats what it is

S/he's a good friend, and throughout the conversation I got the impression that the "testing issues" was the company line, and that the real reason has more to do with corporate strategy than anything else.

I don't know what else to say. I wish I had better news. Next week is definitely not out of the question. But it is very "subject to change" right now.

This. Why can't Google just put it up online? That would make it pretty easy for all of us. Say screw VZW..

It's all about Razr sales. When I went to the Verizon store yesterday, I heard the rep complaining that he had to hype up the Razr even though he thought the Rezound was a better device. Verizon wants to sell as many Razrs as possible, for whatever reason.

Went to dinner and come back to a op title change! Eek!

Would someone be so kind to surmise for me what happened in a short sentence? Software issues? Sounds unlikely. To sell more razrs? Sounds more likely as much as I dislike it.

I think we should all wait until Monday or Tuesday next week before we start freaking out, for all we know it could come out then, if not, they could seriously announce it and possibly allow pre-orders to begin, we don't know but I for one am staying optimistic about this phone until at least next week. :)
 
The biggest problem is that this is a monopoly. There is no choice on LTE and there is no choice on the GN. VZW has us by the balls (sorry ladies) and there is very little that we can do about it. Think that they are not fully aware of that?
 
I'm not buying ANY source at this point. It's pretty obvious they all know nothing concrete. The release date seems extremely fluid and it's obviously above their pay grade.

Seriously considering getting a Rezound and looking at the Galaxy Nexus for my January upgrade. Part of me thinks Verizon is going to keep screwing this up.

The only thing stopping me from renting a Rezound is the lack of a concrete date. I'd be pissed if pre-orders started all of a sudden on the 28th and I didn't have an upgrade available.

Time to flash a fresh SBF on the OG Droid and prepare for a long 3 weeks or so.

that was gonna be my next question. if it was just a skin or not. thats cool they are giving us some choices rather then having to download apps.
 
So the wife doesn't approve of my "rent a Rezound" plan. Ugh.

When I told her what I wanted to do, she rolled her eyes and said "Just wait, it's only a few more weeks."

Shaking my POS Blackberry, I pleaded "But I want a phone now! I'm tired of waiting, and I'm sick of AT&T!"

Rolling her eyes once again while sighing, she asked "When does your billing cycle with AT&T run out?"

I then logged into my account on AT&T wireless, and "...uh, hmm, December 23rd."

With a satisfied smile, she responded "Well, if it gets delayed past December 23rd, let me know."

One of those times that I completely agree. Although 'short and curlies ' would cover us all. :D
 
Well, this truly does suck, but let's not all get worked up about it. We waited this long and can wait a bit longer. Hell, I've been waiting since playing with the Bionic at CES last January for my next phone (which turned out to be a let down so I'm STILL waiting). :)
