I've asked 3 reps, and got the same answer every time. 14 days from activation.
So the extended promotion is built around the idea that phones will be bought as gifts and in turn have delayed activations?

I guess I have the same interest level in the GPS as Of The Damned.
Working out of the base area of greater Atlanta and most of the state I live & die by my OG Droid's navigation.
Other than call quality I will be focusing on and reporting my experience with navigation and the external audio & vibration levels.
Like the chief, I am locked onto the the wait, but am numb as to when to expect it.
Speaking for Verizon's coverage and reliability, as backups I keep a dash mounted GPS and MS Streets & Trips on a laptop with a USB GPS but NEVER need it.
Negative, unless he has lied to everyone!
I'm pinning my hopes on the performance of the GPS on the included barometer. The ability to estimate your location up or down, in addition to lat/long, is supposed to quicken the ability to find the GPS satellites. Fingers crossed, as sometimes it takes 15 minutes and/or a reboot for my OG Droid to acquire a GPS signal.
Here's a theory that at least tries to tie in all the conflicting information. What if the volume issue we are hearing from UK is a hw mass production issue (not seen on the test models). VZW rejects the whole batch and Samsung has to restock the whole supply. The only lte models that are in production are the 16gb version that was going to be launched after the first wave. This would explain the delay and the mixed reports of stability issues as well as the Google specs page change.
This is totally unsupported by any evidence or inside information add is very likely complete nonsense.
Is everyone planning on visiting Verizon's website at 12:00:00 to see if it's there?
Im sorry to do this guys, but this was posted on Droidforums.net by Miami1683...
"I sit and read this thread tonight. It shows a lot of what's wrong with df to me.
Let me say this very clear only the panda and p3 are closer to this device release than me. I have one of these devices already and p3 has been accurate in his time line from the start. He also has one he uses every day as I do and the rest of the team does. Lets show him a little more than "proper English " would ya. If you knew have of what's going on behind the scenes your head may explode
Also since this thing isn't ready for prime time yet be thankful you haven't bought one yet. December 8th is a possibility if it gets stable enough to get to the us. The passes quality certification. Until then its just a test device .....

Sadly, yes. And again at 1 in case they are operating on central time

My Dinc is really quick to acquire a GPS signal. Im also hoping that the barometer fixes the gps issue that some sammy phones have had in the past.

Excuse me??!?!?!?I will have you know that I am nowhere near 2000 years old! You're not supposed to ask a lady her age anyway, but I will go as far as to say that I am not a day over 160 thank you very much.
<------Storms off
2000 years old. Good grief. The nerve of some people. Is he trying to say I'm old or something? Just because I'm immortal doesn't mean I want people thinking I've been around since the cave men.....
I will not write what I read the first time. Lets just say I wondered how we hadn't heard of the anatomically correct gps![]()

I'm catching up from earlier today, so if this has been remarked upon I apologize. Miami is always going to be defensive to aggression towards P3. He's a mod @ mydroidworld and he didn't mention he got his Nexus FROM P3. Whatever the windsock says he'll repeat. Unless you believe what P3 says - or Scout the Golden Retriever - it's not worth getting upset about. Personally, I DO believe it, but for those of you in the pre-December group, just wanted you to be aware that you can properly discount it on the windsock basis...
Unfortunately I have to get up early for work... so Ill check in here ~5:30 am MTN.
I don't mean to be rude but yeah I'd say that's a pretty ridiculous statement and it's very, if not entirely, improbable.
5:30??!!??? Ewwwww.

So I just read through a million pages of posts, and the one question I have is:
Why do so many people keep assuming OTD is a guy? Does the girl vampire in her avatar look masculine? No one has ever heard of the famous Anne Rice novel (Queen) Of The Damned? Just stop it!!!
Also, Bears rock!!! 5 wins in a row!! We
