Given the way things are going we'll smash the Dinc. thread easily. Not that I consider that a good thing. Mostly because a fair part of this thread's size is due to VZW jerking us around. (yes I blame them mostly)
I almost pulled the trigger over the weekend for a razr to hold me over until the nexus gets here, but I just couldn't do it.....it's like I am a glutton for punishment and need to sit on these forums hoping for news while I suffer with my inc that lasts 3 hours on a charge now....I had that little voice in my head saying "but these is a chance you can order a nexus Monday..."
If Verizon made an announcement that it wouldn't be available until January, I would have a Rezound by the end of the day today.
Ya if the phone is released on 12/08(seams most likely at this point) I'll be fine with it if verizon just says "look we're going to have this phone available on December 8th"

Dear #####,
Thanks for your e mail to so many members of our executive staff.
I understand your concerns surrounding the release of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and appreciate your wanting to know a firm release date for the device.
Unfortunately, until a device passes our testing to meet the requirements for our network and our customer experience with the device, we cannot determine the exact release date.
While we can anticipate a release of devices, our concern is that if we were to announce a release date in advance and the manufacturer cannot meet that date for production or development reasons, we ultimately end up creating a negative customer experience, which is not something that we would like to do.
I wish that I could provide you with a specific date for release however, what I can tell you is that a release will be announced when the device is ready for market and we are sure that the customer experience with the device is one that is positive.
Knowing that you are anticipating bringing your business to Verizon Wireless, I would rather you have a positive experience with the transition and being delayed than regretting your decision to switch carriers based on a device being released prematurely.
I hope that this helps you to understand our practice and you continue to be patient for the release of the device you are awaiting.
Thank you for considering Verizon Wireless and hope that you do decide to do business with us in the future.

FWIW. A Google search for "Galaxy Nexus" now shows Adwords ads from VZW with a headline of Galaxy Nexus by Samsung - Android 4.0. Coming Soon. The ads click through to here Samsung Galaxy Nexus Android 4.0 Smartphone | Verizon Wireless
Not sure if this is the official start of their promo push.
Good morning BB!![]()
At this point I would rather a date from VZW than just being left in the dark and im sure eveyone feels this way. Even if its December/January.
If Verizon made an announcement that it wouldn't be available until January, I would have a Rezound by the end of the day today.
looks like we will easily surpass the DInc thread since we have 2 and more weeks to whine about how bad verizon sucks
Speaking of weather, BB, it's rainy here... so little else to do other than sit here with you guys while converting my Star Wars movies to Nexus format in preparation for this phone
BTW folks, DVD Catalyst 4.1.1.0 is the latest version and has 5 settings for Samsung Galaxy Nexus!
Also off topic: we're on track to become the #1 thread in AF history THIS WEEK! Here's hoping we get some news on Nexus to get us fired up again!
Back ON topic: My Source didn't return my call so I'll try again this afternoon. I'd like to get their take on this drama... and maybe even a call to the bat-phone just before launch![]()

Have Plan B ready: 6 months from now the Nexus will be a below average phone. Is it worth it now to lock in for another 2 years? Sorry, but that is the way I see it now. Available for flaming.
Verizon really needs to get on top of this. There is NO reason to not give us a release date for this phone.
I'm getting sick of seeing "Ohhhhh RAZR sales will be hurt" because where is the information that Verizon even cares about RAZR sales? Where is the information that they are honestly making money from selling a RAZR as opposed to the Galaxy Nexus?
Just my two pennies, but I'm getting fed up with this BS. I wish Google would have partnered with T-Mobile and I would have had this phone in my hands by now, and I would be done with Verizon.
I never really care for cameras or total space in phones since I always carry a Nikon D7000 and a 120 GB iPod. I have only taken 10 pictures with my Droid over the last two years and that was only because I did not have another camera. Not sure if this has been posted, but Ars Technica released a review on the phone, not focusing on ICS as that will be a seperate review.
Hi Chief! Maybe we'll have to figure out how to get those converted movies onto my phone so I can watch them on my shiny new toy!
