On the plus side, if they're trying/hopeful/doubtful of a release this week that has to mean that Verizon has some Galaxy Nexus' sitting in some warehouses somewhere right?

The only thing official will come from Verizon. Period.
Everything else is just rumor. Some rumors are more factual than others.
But Stephen is an individual of exceptional caliber, and has verified his sources. They are at least giving us something, even if the release date is a moving target and they aren't completely in the decision making process.
You may discuss the validity of the info, but please do not call into question the integrity of the posters, or the site.
30 days, but the Verizon line return period is 14. If you return within 3 days of activation you get your activation fee back too. I just did this with a Droid 3 last week. Not sure how it would work if you wanted to try to keep the line but swap phones. I emailed them to ask and never got a response.

Suggest you find other threads more to your liking and just check the OP for news from time to time.
I posted at length yesterday on vetting and if you want to ironically continue to post while driving our traffic up about complaining about our traffic, yes, those posts will be cheerfully deleted, along with the other negativity.
It's a big forum, find a place on it that's happy for you, come back to this thread when you've calmed down and can chat without attacking.
