As much as I want to be playing with a GNex right now you have to look at the silver lining to all these delays. ICS is out so devs are working on updating apps now. If this does go all the way to the 8th then we can look forward to more updated apps then if we had the phones in our hands right now.

Does anyone in here have substantial experience with both the Dinc2 and the new HTC device? Does the new one have substantial better battery life? The Dinc2 is awful in that department.

I've heard its better Han but cant personally confirm. Though HTC does lack in the battery life department. Sux. :(

Here are 4S speeds on AT&T, Sprint and Verizon -- they are not 4G speeds by any means.

Source: iPhone 4S Carrier Quality: AT&T Wins for Data Speed, Verizon for Call Reliability | Gadget Lab | Wired.com

To quote the article:
With regard to maximum data speeds, AT&T led the pack at 6,047Kbps, with Verizon a distant second at 2,371Kbps, and Sprint crawling in last with only 1,767Kbps. It

And with that information, I would like to congratulate Han Solo on what I assume is the all time record for number of posts in a single thread. Steven hit a whopping 2,043 posts (or 4.26% of the total) in the DInc thread, whereas Han is currently sitting at 2,335 posts (or 5.4% of the total) here.

On another note, Steven only has 1,139 posts here despite the thread almost breaking the record already. It seems safe to say he doesn't like us nearly as much as the Incredible crowd.

Although I think BB is going to catch him if this goes on long enough, she's been doubling his # of posts per day the past week or so :P

p.s. 168 I suck :(

They said their phones have been quality checked and don't have the problem.

All I'm saying is that there's still hope that the Verizon devices haven't actually shipped to stores yet and that we could see functioning devices being sold sooner than we think!

Are you not the one that comfirmed that they have already shipped to the store you go to?

lol. hilarious.

Were to be shipped. IIRC, he said the manager told him they'd be there by Tuesday. So technically he has another day to be debunked :)

You've got 1 day. Run, Forrest, run!!

Guys, is it me, or is this all getting a bit anti-climactic?

I have a feeling I'm going to open the Nexus box, turn it on, play with it for a good half hour, and then think:

This is what I've basically given up 3 months of my life for?

OF COURSE it's going to be anti-climactic!!!! it always is....

but, the true test will be months down the road, when all the devices from CES start getting released. if you can look at those devices and say, "nah, i'm happy with my GNex" - that's when you'll be grateful for these past few months of angst and waiting. (and if you say, "damn it, i wish i wouldn't have jumped at the GNex so fast", that's when you can say you've wasted your time here.....and the rest of us can say that you'll never be happy with any device, no matter what... :D)

Scott, not trying to be mean, but you're in high school, right? To me, that just means you are looking for attention with your "leaks" and info (like the december 18th thing and the verizon manager thing).

I mean, I remember when I was in high school and was excited about something coming out, I would make up stuff too.

You got me excited when you said your manager will get 50 nexus' on Tuesday; however, you showed no proof at all (if it was a text or email, it's real easy to take a screenshot). If that were the case, every Verizon store would get them tomorrow. One verizon store isn't magically going to get nexus phones while others don't.

You should probably stop saying things unless you post some kind of proof to back it up, just saying.

Not for me, no way! My days posting here are numbered. I can't go through this again, not for at least 2 more years.

Once I get what I get, I will not be visiting the tech sites any more, and I'm not going to expose myself to a peep about CES.

You'll see me when the hecta-cores are rumored.

I'm still waiting for Verizon to release a press release that goes something like:

"We're happy to announce that the Galaxy Nexus is launching on December 8th. We attempted to schedule the launch at an earlier time, but due to a mass influx of emails, tweets, facebook posts, and online chats through our website, we did not have enough staff on hand to test the device in time for our previous release date of 11/17"

:p

Alright. I need reasons why I shouldn't RENT a razr tomorrow evening.
Besides the restocking fee of $35 is there another downside to "renting" a razr?
When I preorder the gnex do I have to pay a deposit? because after I throw down $650 for a razr, I dont want to have to throw down another $650 to pre order the gnex.
Please give me reasons so I am more informed!

I'm sure I've been ninja'd 400 times by now, but the extended return policy only applies to non-activated handsets. I talked to my rep about 5 minutes ago because I was going to pick up the Rezound today after the news of the 8th came out and he verified that. You only have 14 days after the activation of the phone to return it.

Others have posted things without proof and have been proven wrong many times...
Anyways I swear I'm not just making stuff up, you guys should know I would hate that just as much as you all do.
And I'm just taking a snippet from that article on AndroidCentral and sharing it with you guys so we can make a better judgement of when this thing will finally land here in the US...
I know I said "GOOD NEWS!" and I probably shouldn't have because it was really just an optimistic inference. Sorry for the misleading post.

Would be nice.

at this point flaming any one person on their sources, guarantees, guesstimations or speculations of when the phone coming is absolutely ridiculous.

my source is the truth. don't talk about it too much because i'm trying to keep it on the dL.. check xxx.verizonwireless.*** every so often. the release is imminent

Think of it this way; for the past 3 months, you got to meet a bunch new people on this forum and had many many many interesting conversations with them :D
