I'm curious how many posts this thread have when this phone is released, being it's almost a chat room. I'm also curious how many posts relate to the Galaxy Nexus vs. unrelated posts. I suppose we need something to do in the mean time while we wait.
I've been following this phone for a while now (and the Galaxy S II). I will keep waiting because I know I will own one some day (don't know when), and that day keeps getting closer. Our GNEX will be more special to us when we do get it because of this waiting. Kind of like when your a kid and that toy that you really want is more special on Christmas Day because you were waiting so long to get it. Compared to if you were given it the same day you first saw it. It's rewarding when you finally pull the wrapping paper off and open the box and play with it for the first time.
I'm now going to look at it this way. The Galaxy Nexus is not going to be available till Christmas. It's our Christmas present to us from Verizon that we have to pay for. We are going to have to patiently wait for Santa to bring us our Galaxy Nexus. If its available before Christmas Day, then its an early Christmas Present. The point I'm trying to make here is if little kids (usually impatient) can wait till Christmas for a new toy then us adults should be-able to wait as well.
I don't get why a lot of you are so impatient. Seems like most of you already have smart phones anyway. I can understand if they are not reliable and you want to replace it with a reliable phone. But if Verizon released the GNex before its ready, then you'll just end up with another unreliable phone. Is that what you want?
I know what I want, a Galaxy Nexus that works. I already have an unreliable phone (3 year old LG Chocolate 3). I've lived over 23 years without one, I think I can wait another month.
Don't get mad at Verizon for not giving a release day for it. Verizon probably doesn't know when they are going to release it. The set themselves a goal of end of the year. Just accept that it may be another month before they release it. They want to make sure its ready for us to enjoy. Verizon did release the Razr and Rezound and I bet both of those are better then what most of you have already. Coming from a Chocolate 3, either of those would make me happy, but I'm willing to wait for the GNex. Thats my choice. The rest of you have a choice also. Don't complain if the choice you made is to wait for the GNex. Your the one choosing to wait.
