We pretty much know the GNex and Droid 4 won't launch the same day, and we pretty much know which device will get preferential treatment. I swear, if VZW shafts the GNex in favor of a Droid 4 launch, I'll stick with AT&T and get a SGSII Skyrocket. I've never done business with VZW, but if that turns out to be how they do their customers, I'm out...

I'm going to put this a diff way say someone go's store and buy's a 750.00 t-bone steak get home cut's it in half eat's that half put's the other in the frig well 14 day's later open's the frig say's o-shit i'm going to take that back to the store and tell them this steak is no good I want you to give me a new one. You can't go to a new car lot buy a car use it for 14 day's and take it back and say I dont like this car give me my money back.

You are complaining about Verizon's policy? The one that they changed on their own?

If they didn't want people to swap phones, they wouldn't have the policy in place.

BTW, the steak analogy is awful.

I feel a gentle reminder coming from Steven to play nice. I am sorry for my part...playing nice now but just for the record someone else started it.

You have the perfect avatar...................

Pulled the trigger on Exspansys yesterday for the 16g...just got a shipping conformation for overnight....should be here for Friday.

Will report back with some pix and any needed info. I have been with the iPhone since inception, so I kinda feel like I did that first day several years ago, when it came out.

This is my first AnDroid phone, so I'm pretty pumped.

Happy and Safe Thanksgiving one and all !

Steven is there any way you can reach out to your source and see if that leaked VZW document for the Droid 4 and GNex is legit?

Guys I wouldn't worry too much about the Droid 4. It appeals to a different customer than the slab phones. Plus Verizon won't sacrifice 4th quarter sales by pushing the GNex too far into December. Even with all the publicity it will need at least a couple weeks to fully marinate once released. I really think December 8th is the last day. The 15th MAYBE, but not likely. But I am 100% certain in my own belief that it won't go past the 15th. If it does, I sell off any mutual funds which contain Verizon, because their executives have feces for brains.

2 things: I just spoke with 2 different Verizon reps. One rep said Dec 8th is the date he heard. The 2nd rep confirmed the extended return policy. So, if someone wants to rent a RAZR or a Rezound, now looks like the time.

Hoping the 8th (or sooner) is the date.

I'll cut you some slack since you're making the transition to Android. First and foremost -- All "Droids" are Android phones, but not all Android phones are "Droids". Ok, that's it.

I just saw an email from Verizon Wireless pop up...................black friday ad sans Gnex. I shake my fist at you Verizon, such a mental game you play!
I just got the email also. I saw "Verizon", so I ran through the ad looking for the GNEX to no avail. :(

Great another potential road block to our Galaxy Nexus...

There is no way that Verizon would hold up the GNEX for another phone at this point. They do have some sort of a contractual obligation with Google/Android to get this phone out. Besides, they realize the public demand that has mounted for this phone, which equals lots of profit for them. I think, at this point, they know that the sooner they can release it, the better. They have nothing to gain at this point except negative press, and the Droid 4 is not the type of phone to counter that. If they had something better than the GNEX, it might be worth it to them, but even then public opinion and backlash has to be getting to them to some degree by now.

95 times out of 100 I agree with your posts. This post makes up for those 5.

Watch the release of the DROID 4 on December 8th push back the release of the Nexus...Just watch...Knowing Verizon they will push it again to try and sell their bloat filled junk.

EDIT: Guess this has already been/being talked about...Guess I should go back and catch up!

11/28 should be telling, either good or bad. I'd be surprised if we don't hear something more concrete by then...of course the way things are going maybe I shouldn't be.

Going to call Verizon after December 8th and ask, "Was it worth it?" in reference to the Droid 4. With those specs I'm wondering if they even would need a display device. I don't see that going anywhere.

You know, most of the posts on VZW's Facebook and Twitter have been people asking about the GNex, and if there's one thing VZW has shown so far, it's that they don't give a shit. I wouldn't put it past them to stall the GNex in favor of the Droid 4 at all.
