ReZound: 1.5 Ghz S3, 1 GB RAM, 720p S-LCD, 1600-ish mAh battery, 2.3 w/ Sense
Nexus: 1.2 Ghz OMAP 4460, 1 GB RAM, 720p SAMOLED, 1850 maH battery, 4.0 with updates from Google

Despite the higher clocked processor, the OMAP > S3. Same RAM. Screen is personal preference, but IMO AMOLED is a much better display than LCD not to mention sucks up less battery, bigger battery on the Nexus, much better software support.

I don't see how anyone can think the ReZound's specs are so much better than the Nexus. If anything they are just about equal. But I guess it is down to personal preference. Just get what works best for you

Although I of course come down on the side of the SGN, the HTC device has a lot going for it and is just barely edged out, in my mind, by the Nexus.

The slight difference in GHz won't matter to most people in real world situations. Neither will GPU. (Most don't do extensive gaming on a phone.)

SGN has the bigger battery, but most reports report excellent battery life on the HTC device despite the high resolution screen and LTE. I think that, in the end, the battery life on both will be very similar.

I'm a bigger fan of SAMOLED than S-LCD, but not everyone feels the same way. There are many who feel that Samsung's displays are oversaturated to the point of being cartoonish, while Super LCD is more true to life.

In the end, what does it for me is that the SGN doesn't have capacitive buttons and has 4.0 out of the box. But those are pretty much the only 2 reasons. If it weren't for those reasons, I'd be a proud owner of an HTC device.

I just wouldn't ever be able to speak its name.

Thanks all, I think you've talked me down for the moment. The other really tempting thing is the penny price on Amazon right now. I keep wondering, is a $300 gnex better than a $0.01 rezound?

Happy thanksgiving everyone! Don't forget about beats! Lolol

Im happy with my rezound. Great device. Cant go wrong either way. Still might return for nexus.

I'm thankful s-off might have been acheived for the rezound though.

Ugh, IMO beats are a negative.

Now that you mention it...I know this popped up yesterday, but I don't think there was ever a definitive answer. Will the headphones that the UK'ers are getting come with the LTE version?? I'm guessing that they would, but don't really know. I bought my wife her blue skull candy set for her phone, but I don't need those - just something that works.

Would it make sense to change what is included in the box based on model/country/etc...??

Screen is higher res (dpi), cameras are higher res, and it's known to be good camera hardware (from the slide 4g), sd card slot, not plasticky samsung construction.

EDIT: gpu is supposedly better.

hmm, so Verizon strategy is working. Hold out the Nexus as long as they can, pray for someone to buy the Rezound / Razr. :D

Rezound as itself is a good phone, however it is not a Nexus, this could be significant depending on individuals, personally if its not a Nexus, its "just another Android phone" to me.

Besides, despite having a (slightly) higher PPI, it is still SLCD, hence it wouldn't look as vivid compared to the SAMOLED HD. Res on camera usually don't determine the quality of a camera, however it does help selling it to the consumers. For instance, (as much as I don't want to admit it) iPhone 4's 5MP cam takes better image than most of the 8MP Android phones.

I'll give you the SD Slot, I personally don't mind as I think it is omitted for a better experience, but I know some swear by it.

GPU better or not, you still play the same game on the market as any other Android users does. So does it really matter? (I would still say the same if GNex happens to have a better GPU, because I really couldn't care less)

In the end, getting a Nexus phone is about the "Google experience", hardware really doesn't mean much. Though it doesn't hurt that the Galaxy Nexus has definitely qualified as one of the best phone in 2011 (if not THE best).

Id say if you are getting the same box i.e a Samsung Nexus box you will get the standard Samsung headphones.

I would count on getting the same headphones in the box. From what I've heard they're very good and comparable to, if not better than, the Apple earbuds.

Happy thanksgiving everyone! It's oddly comforting to see that nothing changed while I was asleep :D

I know a couple of people have said to expect the same headphones in the US, and I agree with that.
Some other user here posted that he got the exact same headphones with the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in the US. If it's available with one of their US products, I would expect it to be included with the Galaxy Nexus as well. :)

They're not. The Nexus' processor can go up to 1.5 GHz stock, and I'm sure we can see overclocks to 2.0 GHz or a little more.

The Nexus has a much better screen, bigger battery, stock Android (faster updates).

Like you said, they are close to equal. But with the better OLED screen, bigger battery, and faster updates, that pushes the Nexus to the front of the line.

Head over the the Samsung page on Facebook. They actually just posted something saying you should get a phone that has removable storage! Really? Why didn't they follow their own advice!?!?

That IS pretty ridiculous.

I thought one of the bigger differences among the devices were the screen real estate but the GN only has .35 inches over the rezound. If you factor in that the on screen buttons will take up some space part of the time, they are almost the same.

And that's a worst case scenario, I think we'll hear something by monday.
