Root Sholes 2.0.5 is out!

There were issues of the reboot posted on the Bugless threads.. many came to the conclusion that it was because the facebook app was missing and the phone rebooted because it was trying to find a FB account linked to the phone.

Yes, you still need to download SetCPU. The ROM supports overclocking, but you still need the utility in order to do so.

Okay, thanks. I use the facebook app anyway, don't know why I took it off.

I liked the 2.1 launcher, and never had issues with it. I got 2.0.5, and I'd like to add it back. I looked in the market for it but didn't find what I wanted. Can someone help guide me to it please?

Disregard...I googled it and got what I wanted.

.Just got 2.0.5 what should I have my set cp to and device should I have it set to please help I don't want to fry my phone

I've been running @ 1.1GHz all day and trying to stress it. Playing Games Spending long times on the net after and the temp has not even came close to 40c yet. Im gonna now try 1.2 and see what happens.

Flashed 2.05 early this morning and have been running 1.2g all day without a single issue. The highest temp I reached while running Pandora while surfing the web was 41c which is just a tiny bit higher than 2.04 @ 1g. I can't tell you how happy I am with this release, 1.2 is ridiculously fast.

Two Questions..

1. What are you guys using to monitor temps???

2. Is it just me, or is the Home animation new / different. I noticed when I'm on say screen 5, and I hit the home button, it slides across the screen between back to the home screen. I don't recall it ever doing this animation prior to 2.0.5

1- SetCPU and TempMonitor both are in the market

2- that is an Android feature and has always been.

Only issue has been Temp Monitor. I was running at a nice 31F for awhile. Didn't think my house was that cold! Restart and we're back to normal, considered overclocking to warm the thing up.

Where in SetCPU does it show temperature?

Lol, one of those things you don't pay attention to then wonder, was that always like that?

In your Profiles the last one "Failsafe Profile" you can set the desired temp and have it idle down to a specific ghz

Even with 2.0.5?

*Is there anything additional I need to install? Is what I'm seeing in TempMonitor not accurate if all I've done is put 2.0.5 on?

It is accurate. It's the reading from the battery sensor. You don't have to do anything additional.

Now, if you want the CPU temp also, you could flash Tas' kernel. However, you will lose Steve's fixes for a more responsive keyboard and brightness sensor.

Also, Sholes' kernel seems to be much more stable, as I've yet to have a FC or reboot at 1.2GHz, while running Tas' at 1.1GHz and browsing for more than 5 mins would always result in a reboot.

Just rooted for the 1st time and installed this ROM. So far I'm liking it. Everything seems to be faster.

BUT - Apparently, this ROM removes the Car Dock mode? Is there any way to get that back? I actually use that (as I have a car dock).

See that was half the reason for the temperature question, it seems everyone is talking about CPU temperatures, but SetCPU and BatteryLeft display BATTERY temperatures. So in all these threads, my new assumption when people are comparing safe operating temps, etc. they are reffering to the diplayed battery temp.?

You can select to keep the car dock when you're setting options before final install of the ROM if you use SMUpdater.

On another note Is anyone else having major issues with sound? I keep losing sound on mine while using different apps and the phone reboots if I hit my ovlume key when this happens.
