As to the Han Departure, I figure it's his decision. I can understand where he is coming from and that's the reason my posting (though never excessive or terribly important to the thread) has dropped off to almost nothing.

As to the mod thing: I have a lot to say on that subject but will keep my mouth shut as no good would come from any of it (and would likely be deleted anyway).

What I can't change, I accept.

I've been lurking for a long time because I never felt the need to post. I've always loved reading all of your comments, but I could/would never miss Han's. I'm gonna miss reading your posts every morning! I hope your decision was just a knee jerk reaction, but I understand where your coming from. Wish you the best in your Nexus filled future :D

IMO, all that would accomplish is to reinforce what Hans and others since have pointed out. The best course of action is to let people blow off steam for a couple pages and then move on. No one has gotten out of hand about it and I don't see that happening at all. Again, locking down the thread will do nothing more than just make people angrier and we will likely lose more of those posters who have been productive and helpful in the thread to this point.

RPT-Samsung says expects to top 2011 smartphone sales target | Reuters

Nov 28 (Reuters) - Samsung Electronics expects to beat its 2011 smartphone sales target thanks to brisk sales of its Galaxy smartphones, a mobile executive said on Monday.
"We are pinning high hopes...on achieving sales higher than our previous plan," the executive said at a press conference, without disclosing its expected sales figure.
The executive was speaking at a local launch event for the Galaxy Note and Galaxy Nexus and Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE.

Welcome, while we are losing (hopefully only temporarily or not at all) a prolific poster, every new member further adds to the credibility of this thread and its significance to the android world. If his action convinced even one poster to come out of the lurk-closets, his sacrifice will not have been in vain. So thanks!
 
Peace Han, this forum has always been very heavily moderated. I stuck around during the incredible thread, and left after release. I plan to do the same here. I'm not a fan of forums like this, but the diversity of the reader base is great for pre release.

After release ill migrate back to a more developer friendly forum. Rootzwiki is a great place. I think its telling that the majority of the devs aren't here. The form is good for what it is.
 
Random "Nexus Prime" search info from verizonwireless.com

If you go to verizonwireless.com and use the search bar at the top I got some interesting results. Nothing great, just interesting.

If you search "galaxy nexus" or even just "nexus" you get a general search results page with the link for the galaxy nexus registration page at the top.

If you search "nexus prime" it goes right to that galaxy nexus sign up page.

Someone optimized the search engine and that page to react to nexus prime and not galaxy nexus.... Just wondering if Verizon themselves even knows the name of the phone.

Like I said, nothing great... Just bored.

Truth. It's also telling as to why XDA is losing developers left and right, over-moderation is not good for the growth of a dev community.

This site, however, is much better for the general public and its much more helpful to noobs (I mean that term with the utmost respect) than XDA or Rootz ever will be. They all have their place.
