Any date that has been vetted out as "confirmed" is gonna be in the OP if you really don't want to skim through the extra posts. But if you want the latest "rumor", it's gonna come with a lot of noise.

Name calling ok if target is a public figure of any sort and language used is within forum guidelines?

I'm pretty sure i hid the conversation so that it wouldn't inconvenience anyone that didn't want to read it, i'll make sure to keep things to myself from now on i promise:p

Thats what the news media does now a days. I call it "cut and paste reporting". All they do is copy someone elses story, put there icon on it and it "breaking news" with out confirmation.
Wheres the reporter that's inside, talking to YZW, getting some real info?

My last company could start better rumors than these...... pitiful!!

Lurkmaster 6000 reporting in...Well my fellow soon-to-be nexus owners. I finally caved today and called my local VZW store (Auburn, NY). Here is what went down.

Me: Hi I am in the market for a new phone and I was hoping you could give me some info on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus
Rep: At this point there is not an official launch date, we are thinking sometime in December or January [ :-( ].
Me: Oh well I was wondering what if anything you will be doing for pre-orders.
Rep:At this point your best bet is to look online and keep an eye out on the web page for info.
Me: Well I was hoping there would be a way for me to go in store and pick one up on release day...if I do it online won't it be delivered to my house.
Rep: Yes but you may sometimes get it a few days earlier if you order online.
Me: Well I would really like to see to it that one of my local reps is able to get commission on the phone in store, so is there anyway for me to reserve one for release day?
Rep: Not really usually it is first come first serve so if we get 10 of them and 10 people come in at open that want it, we have to give them the phone.
Me: Oh thats too bad, I really wanted to get this phone on the day it came out but it sounds like to do that I have to order online...I really wanted to get one of my local reps a commission.
Rep: Here I will take down your name and number and give you a call when I have more information on the Nexus, so maybe we can figure something out for you
Me : (gave him my info)
Rep: Ok I will let you know when I hear something
Me: thanks alot, I look forward to doing business with you.

Grey area. Proceed with caution. I believe windsock is still acceptable in regards to one person.

So if this phone does go on pre-order tomorrow...does that mean it'll go live at midnight...or some other time? Anyone with any previous preorder knowledge care to chime in? :confused:

If I haven't checked the thread in more than a couple hours, I always check the OP first, but it can take a while for info to get put in there, sometimes several hours. I'm aware rumors come with noise. I was just asking if we could maybe have a little less of the useless noise. I see that it was too much to ask though, so nevermind.
