***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

Assuming there is a pre-order ... What are you going to do? I've never pre ordered.. I've always gone to the store when they open.

Wow, this thread has died. I'm gone most of the day and only have 2.5 pages to catch up on? Sad...

On topic, there are a lot of reports going around the last few hours of Verizon reps telling people about the release on the 8th/possible preorder tomorrow. Usually if only one or two people are chiming in saying it, I don't pay much attention (or if it's something like my mothers piano teacher's student or what have you), but quite a few people are saying that is what Verizon reps have told them. BGR and HuffPost are commenting on that as well.

Maybe this time it has some substance? Announcement tomorrow/preorder Thursday/release the 8th? Announcement tomorrow/preorder 8th/release on 15th?

Nothing is official or confirmed until its on the Verizon webpage, but knowing how they said it will be out THIS year, we've got a 50 percent chance it will be out on or before December 15th, right? :)

I wish someone wise with the force had a sister who could perhaps chime in a little on this, but that is probably more wishful thinking than a preorder tomorrow.

I thought their release/press stuff was usually CST? Or are you saying for official release/pre-order stuff they'd start 12am PST so that the date is the same across all continental US time zones?

Depends on when it will release. If it is Pre order tomorrow pick up late December then probably. If it is Pre order tomorrow and release on Thursday I will just buy in store

Do you have your posts per page set ridiculously high? We were on page 1017 when I woke up this morning, and are on page 1031 now. This has been a pretty active day IMO.
 
Tech blogs are funny. They wait for 1 to post a semi-believable story then they all post the same story and cite that blog as a source. This way I guess they can say, "well I was just saying what they said".

Don't believe anyone except Verizon regarding the Galaxy Nexus. We've learned that the hard way.
 
Pre-orders tomorrow? Oh boy I'm getting way too excited!!! :D :D :D

BTW I just solved the situation with my sister wanting a new phone if anyone's interested. She's using my mom's upgrade to get the DInc2 for free today, my mom will wait a few months (July is the next available upgrade, although I'm in the process of getting it bumped up; plus, she's the account holder) and get a better phone than the GNex, and I'm gonna get the GNex on launch day.

unfortunately its all just regurgitated info we already know mostly. csr's know less than most of us do, and i would go as far as to say the ones saying "pre order tomorrow" are just relaying what they have been told by someone or read offline, nothing they have been officially sent by vzw stating such. think about it people, if the bottom of the totem pole in vzw had gotten official word from vzw that preorders were starting tomorrow, it would have leaked long ago

Regardless if I wait for CES or not, I will probably still get the Nexus. I just want to see what next year's quad core phones will look like, in case any company can convince me to wait.
