About to chat with a rep. Let's hope for something...

Stuck waiting, we must be slashdotting their chat system :p

I'm on there more to see if the names and formatting/etc match the ss or if it's just photoshopped garbage. I doubt a chat CSR will have info (which is why I doubt the ss), just like we have all said we doubt the phone CSRs know as much or more than we do.
 
Also, in the chats I've been in and seen people post, the rep usually has a last initial "John S." not just "John", and the customer is just "You" not "Jim". I call bs on this pic. Shame on Android Police for trolling. :mad:

I haven't been on an online chat in forever they could have fooled me (if indeed it is a fake).
 
I just tweeted to VerizonWireless and asked politely to release the Galaxy Nexus before Christmas :)

I think people shouldn't be sending rage tweets at Verizon... As much as I am frustrated with all this waiting, I'm still thankful to Verizon for even deciding to sell the Galaxy Nexus!

lol I'm still waiting too... I'm gonna try saying word for word what that one guy said that got the rep to leak some info :)
 
one strategy for getting an online CSR link that's had a higher hit rate for me is go to upgrade device, actually click on a phone (i think i normally do razr) and then fiddle with adding and removing it from your cart.

Well, I found a few things:

1. the name "You" could very well be for when you don't specify a name in the initial chat window prior to being connected with the chat CSR.

2. The CSR's name in my chat did not have a last initial. So that's not a legitimate reason to mark it "fake".

All that said, my CSR gave me the standard "no information, sign up page here blah blah". Which is what I was expecting. :)

*edit* One other possible piece of evidence that it was a fake is that at least with my chat window, I could resize it horizontally, but NOT vertically. And that window in the ss looks like it was a lot more rows than I could stretch mine to. But that could be browser-specific. *shrug*

Sorry about that, I hate that I posted that and still have everybody still up.

I think people would still be up regardless. You didn't know and no one is sure that it is a fake. Just like no one is sure about anything on the GN.

Glimmers of hope is all it takes and that is what we seem to get each day in some form or fashion. It's all part of the hunt/chase/journey/madness/insanity whatever one wants to call it :D

Me, too. But the budget cuts for this season are really evident. Lots of filler/low-light scenes. The audio has been HORRIBLE, and the video is grainy.

For the audio, when they're in a scene with the locusts/cicadas in the background, listen to that fade out as the characters speak, then shoot back up when they stop speaking. Horribly mixed. No spoilers on Sunday's episode btw! I'm out of town for training and can't watch until I get back Wednesday :)

I think we need a coordinated campaign of not just hitting facebook but maybe tweet at their PR people

Verizon publishes the list of PR people Twitter feeds so they can do PR, so lets help them by keeping them employed :-)
 
I thought we established that reps don't know any more than we do?

Even so, what time zone are you in? If you're on EST (or even Central), then I have trouble believing that any rep, no matter how dedicated, would call you past midnight :p

Yeah, I took the time to describe a fake conversation with an imaginary Verizon representative that offered no solid information regarding a release date or anything close for that matter. And i certainly didn't tell you to take it with a grain of salt, because that would be too responsible on my part. I just farm for likes on my post because I like attention. :rolleyes:

Believe it or not, there's is another side of that country that is three hours behind you. Shocker, I know. But you can google it if you don't believe me.
