I think the change is all about the explosion of users finding good phones that are completely internet-effective and putting them to top use.
 
I know this has been talked about before but I want to go ahead and throw this in there.

My co-worker's daughter works as a CSR for Verizon. This probably isn't any new info, but she said they don't tell any of the CSR's in the call center about phones until it's on the website. Meaning? If the XYZ phone isn't online, they know nothing. Gotta love how the higher up's lock up intel...

I would think they would make an announcement that they're beginning pre-orders and do so at the same time. That way it's not silent but you're not waiting for a pre-order announcement, which seems sort of dumb... lol

True, however if so many people leave other carriers to get an iphone on Verizon, or current android users get an iphone instead they're all going to use 3g and 3g only. However as an android user we have phones with 4g connectivity, if you can get a ton of people of your 3g network it'll improve the performance for everyone still on it. And we will be happy with our ridiculous 4G/LTE speeds. :)

Damn! An exception. I was hoping to relax from the idea preorders or potential release could happen in the next 24hrs but that crushed it.

As far as I know (AFAIK for the acronym junkies), preorders have always been announced prior to it going live.

We could get an announcement tomorrow for release on the 8th. One week is not a long announcement period either.

No looking to see if there was an occasion where preorders or just a release has ever occured w/ out Verizon making an official announcement. Preorder or buy in store makes no difference to me.
 
Heh! Seeing the Verizon 7 Day Webb Sale that contains only Pre-owned (Once Rented) devices tells me to ponder the pre-order to begin on 12/5 after the attempted dumping of all the rentals.

Well, I'm in the van and all setup for Jody to arrive and ninja his boss's spouse. He is due any minute so I'm outa here until Jody is outa there.:eek:

Believe me, I want there to be hope of a preorder or release without an announcement.....but I have yet to see an example (with the excludion of feature phones like the G'Zone). I was hoping the fact that no PRs have been released today would mean something.


Verizon does have a history of officially announcing phones 1-3 days prior to release on phones where there isn't a preorder.
