***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

I'm just hoping for a pre-order between now and 12/7. I HAVE to order online (govt/biz account) and am going to extremely jealous with all of you picking it up in the store 24 hours before I have mine!!!! :)

I am happy to tell everyone that all final testing has been concluded. All bugs (with the exception of one very minor bug that 99% of you will never see) have been resolved and passed quality check. December 8th has been officially set as launch date (internally for now) and there are no further plans for any delays. I cannot talk about preorders however and please do not consider this at all an official announcement until Verizon says so but I hope many of you will find this helpful in your decision making.

Enjoy. :)

And who are you? :)

I edited my comment. Total fail on my part, I read it as "following thursday" not "next thursday" hehe. Apologies to all the people trying to figure out WTH I was talking about :)

Whooh, you had me worried :) I immediately thought my mind had tricked me into reading what I wanted to read.

Sigh, if it DOES drop on the 8th I may go pick it up, and let it sit in my house till I get back from my cruise :(

I don't think I could handle it dropping when I'm away and them being sold out when I get back.

Can you at least give us the gossip or internal speculation about pre-orders... even if unlikely?

Need some advice. I rented the RAZR knowing I was going to return it for the GNex once it comes out. Should I return it prior to the 8th if that's when pre-orders starts or should I just wait and return it that day if it's for sale in stores?

If you purchased after Nov 15th you are covered until Jan 15th with the Holiday return policy.

Thanks i really hope this is true

open1your1eyes... I hope that you are as "inside" as you claim to be. Be honestly, dude... you come in AFTER things have pretty much been said all over the place and confirm what everyone else has already said (yesterday and today). The stuff that we don't know you won't comment on, like pre-sale. So, if you are legit... my sincerest apologies. But if you are not in the know, then please don't toy with people.

Not sure if this has been posted or not, and unfortunately no link to provide as I heard this on the local news radio channel today.. but another plus for the Galaxy Nexus is that none of the Nexus phones will have the Carrier IQ software on them. Though apparently Verizon states it is not on any of their smartphones.

The pure Google experience just gets better. :)

What is that "very minor bug"? That will completely demonstrate your legitimacy.

If this really hits the fan, Verizon will be laughing all the way to the bank. Although I wouldn't be surprised if they have their own in house software that does pretty much the same thing.
