Anyone know if they will have the standard Verizon anti scratch screen protectors available at launch? I don't like the anti glare ones, and if they aren't going to have the anti scratch ones I will have to spring for a different type.

Any reason as to why Verizon can't just communicate the situation to us? It's not like we are all going to go out and buy ReZounds because we don't know the GN is coming. It's a different era in today's world. We know it's coming and we are all waiting as consumers.

I can understand why they wouldn't say anything -

It's a HUGE, multi bazillion dollar corporation - they don't go around just making promises about hardware on their system, there's a process that they go through and each little box has to be checked off before they go to the big kahuna and tell him they are ready for prime time.

If a single board member chides the CEO for a mistake more than one head would roll....

SO, are you going to give up your 1.2 million dollar salary to keep a bunch of geeks happy?

I don't care for horizontal docks, but I saw a vertical one in a video that I would buy.

I only ask cause I never really thought about it, but what's the pros versus cons regarding a horizontal or vertical dock? I've read a good deal of posts where folks say which one they like better, but never why. Thanks in advance.

Hm. Since the NFC is built into the battery, I get the feeling we're not going to ever see an official extended battery for the GNex. Far more cost-effective to not produce two different batteries supporting the technology. As it is, I'd bet a GNex spare battery would cost about what a regular smartphone extended battery would.

Well since they went to the 2 GB and 5GB plans they have already ended the unlimited "grandfathering". Anybody that signs up for data now has to chose a package.

I saw that AC thread too. It would stink if they try to hose you out of unlimited for upgrading your phone. I guess I could if they eliminate unlimited if you change your plan - depending on how you change your plan. It's obvious their goal is to get rid of us "unlimiteds"

Do you have a source for this info?

EDIT: Just read your last post, so come March, if I go to upgrade any time after I'll lose my unlimited data unless I buy a new phone out right? That's pretty lame.

Keep in mind that the thread on AC that said grandfathered unlimited would end on March 2012 also said the LTE SGN had been renamed to Nexus Prime. I think we can all agree that is bunk, so all of the info probably is.

There's an extended battery included in the Korean/Japanese version IIRC.

@PydePypper:
Gonna post pics of Nexus battery stats test from today. Was on Wifi all day except for my drive into work when I stream Pandora for 45 mins

Agree. Besides, we have an increasingly credible phone release date to talk about now.

Added bonus... just got informed today that, because I chose 18 months ago to forsake our corporate phones and just use my personal phone, the owners are willing to reimburse my next phone purchase and pay 1/3 of my phone bill. No strings attached.

Q: What's better than a GN in a week?
A: A FREE GN in a week courtesy of your boss.

I kind of know how you feel, with me winning that $250 at work, my phone will be free too after my loyalty discount.

Horizontal dock for me. My OG Droid + dock has been my alarm clock on my night stand for the last two years. Nexus will take it's place.

Bought the car dock for the OG but hardly ever used it. Easier to toss the phone in one of my cup holders.
