Anyone know if lte SGN will have a 3g/4g toggle?
That isn't a standard thing?
Is anyone planning on getting a decal skin sticker (such as the one below) for their Nexus? I would think it extremely annoying to have something not completely transparent covering the touchscreen. Anyone use something like this now that would care to weigh in?

Protective Decal Skin Sticker for Samsung Galaxy Nexus case cover GXnexus-313
Well, as I did state before, I choose to keep my sources anonymous for variety of factors including the fact that many people question credibility and legitimacy. So like my original comment earlier in this thread: take this as you will and by no means should you consider this official until Verizon states it.
I really appreciate all the thanks so far and I will update you guys if I hear anything else related to launch and preorders.
Didn't think they all came standard. Could be wrong

Tell me when It's ok to be excited...
So what kind of accessories are u guys planning to get with the nexus? Is a dock worth it?
I'm getting a dock (if it even exists). That thing looks awesome and the pogo pins are a nice touch.
I'm going to venture a guess and say that skin doesn't cover the screen at all. Probably just a custom skin with matching wallpaper...

So far I have not had any luck with getting an early upgrade, just "sorry we can't do that" and "I talked to my Supervisor and he said we can not do that".
My scheduled upgrade is 1/6/12.
Keep in mind that the thread on AC that said grandfathered unlimited would end on March 2012 also said the LTE SGN had been renamed to Nexus Prime. I think we can all agree that is bunk, so all of the info probably is.
Horizontal dock for me. My OG Droid + dock has been my alarm clock on my night stand for the last two years. Nexus will take it's place.
Not sure if this has been posted yet, but it looks like we will be able to disable the two Verizon apps. that is coming with the phone. Galaxy Nexus Verizon apps disabling photographed, launch imminent - SlashGear
Just got off the phone with a csr. She was very helpful and I think I have some good info.
My upgrade date is 12/27. I called to see if I could upgrade early. She asked me if I had my eye on something. I, of course, told her the gnex. She said ohh yeah, that's going to be a great phone. We all know about it here. She was attempting to do a preorder, with an early upgrade for me, but, after some time, she told me her computer would not allow her to add the gnex to my order. She gave me her direct email and told me she would be happy to do an early upgrade for me as soon as it became available.
The way she sounded made me think it was going to be real soon. I asked her about the 8th, but she couldn't confirm. When I hung up I got an email from her.
Those of you not eligible for an upgrade yet, don't fret, I'm sure all csrs are able to authorize early upgradeable. VZW wants you to sign up for 2 more years!
I know OTD mentioned some apps that are essential some weeks back, but does anyone recommend apps that a first time android user should download?
When you sign the new contact at the new carrier, have them take her number. It will automatically come off the old contract... But beware of cancellaion fees if your contract isn't up yet.
This may be a dumb question, but what is the benefit if using a dock? Are you tansfering files using the dock? If so, can't you just use the usb port?? I'm just curious - not really sure what the benefit of a dock is.
Wow! I am so glad I looked this over before posting. I;m not going to tell you what word I misspelled, but it would been funny (sort of)![]()

Hm. Since the NFC is built into the battery, I get the feeling we're not going to ever see an official extended battery for the GNex. Far more cost-effective to not produce two different batteries supporting the technology. As it is, I'd bet a GNex spare battery would cost about what a regular smartphone extended battery would.
