The best buy 'leaked' page showed receipt on 12/11 (a Sunday?) but still the week of 12/12 (yeah!). It is still a rumor for pre-orders the week of 12/5 (which includes 12/8). This date will only be firmed if VZW says so. Otherwise, it might be a 'silent' pre-order date.

Again, you will all have your i515's in your hands no later than 12/15.

And for you P3Droid haters (Han?), if I were able to afford to acquire an engineering device like I was with the Motorola A4500, I surely would also be a braggart, as I am sure you see him as. But on another note, those that do own these engineering i515 devices have been posting that every new update makes it just better, so it is not too out of bounds to think that it _might_ be released with 4.1.

But, from what I have been gleaning, do NOT expect very good battery life. I for one will be taking the path I ALWAYS take with a cell phone. A battery only charger with an extra battery.

OK, now move along. . . . nothing new to be seen here. . . .

Well ultimately, P3Droid was right, 4.1 is out and he has it. Obviously this doesn't warrant name calling, but P3Droid's feathers get ruffled easily...
 
Just to comment a little on the 4.1 update certain people are getting. This is indeed a true update with several minor bug fixes and a few minor additions. However, at this point I cannot confirm if this is the OS version you will see when you receive your phone out of the box (may depend on inventory). A minimum of 4.0.1 is certain to come on your phone with 4.0.2 most likely but no confirmation on 4.1. May ship a few weeks later. From what I was told, I do however recommend to grab the update when you get it. No details but some worthy notes there.

I think most of us want it as well. We'll have it soon worry not. A month from now you won't even remember the feeling of longing for it. We're good mate! : )

Thx for this info. I briefly tried to catch up on the thread tonight and I remembered reading someones quote about possible dates, per usual, and it was your quote. Thx for that info as well ;)

I don't know the whole story on P3Droid, but I do know his characteristics wore me out months ago and the fact I avoid reading anything from him has proved I ain't missed much, if anything at all.

idk man, i have a lot of patience but even if i was in p3's shoes i think i would have called him the same thing lol. did you see scotts tweets to p3?

How in the world did they manage to take all those phones out of all those boxes and install new radios eh?

I never questioned before. Now I say hmmm. First says coming with 4.0.2 now says???? I thought everyone was giving him/her a hard time before. But now I am wondering if someone is just reporting off of released info as it seems these post come after previous leaks.

There has been some very early stock released with 4.0.1 so there may be a chance you will get it (depending on when/where you order). The vast majority will see 4.0.2 however. I apologize, I should have pointed that out originally.

You mentioned the 299 price point and 32GB, do you know where the 199 ad that was all over the web last week comes into play?
