Wow you and I must be really close. I'm in Marlton, about a mile from Medford.

Anyway, I too am squarely in the 4G coverage area according to the map. Don't know anyone around here that has a 4G phone though, so I can't comment on the map's accuracy.

The map may have been updated since the last time I checked it, so it's possible. I'm in Deptford now, but grew up in Medford Lakes, which is considered by some to be the end of civilization, since all that's left past there is Tabernacle/Indian Mills/Chatsworth. Could have something to do with why it looked like we were on the fringe of coverage. No worries for me now though, I'm right across the bridge.

Off topic TV stuff:

So we watched the first episode of Homeland last night! Pretty good, I think it's a keeper. The last scene was pretty shocking. Kind of reminds us of "24".

Also, X Factor:

Ugh. Drew. Crying. Ugh.

Get over it, kid. You didn't change your style, you were always half asleep when you sang. Not a surprise.

You watched 24 as well? Finally someone else!

I can never find someone (except my dad) who watched the show. I watched every episode on TV and own all the seasons on DVD. Probably one of my favorite TV shows ever.

Woah, I missed all the drama with the Windsock, eh? Is everyone satisfied that he has 4.1, or no?

He's a moron, but he's usually right when it comes to software stuff. Release dates and carrier info? Not so much.

4.1 looks like a done deal. He isn't the only one that has confirmed receiving it

The show me and my wife really like this season is New Girl and Whitney. Have you watched those?

Did you see Blanket the other night? I see why they don't let him talk. I liked Astro and I'm surprised Chris is still in it.

Tv stuff:

We saw a couple of New Girl's and tivo'd the rest. I'm not a big fan of Whitney Cummings; haven't seen that one.

But we really like the redheaded guy on Homeland. He was awesome in Band of Brothers, and we hadn't seen him since.

Blanket is a boy? I don't know why I never bothered to confirm, but I always thought that was a girl! Astro was good, but it was just too similar every week. I thought it was funny that L.A. kept complaining about how Drew doesn't change it up, but Astro was the same way.

We really liked him, though.

The camera looks 'okay' at best. I figure I'd just continue using Vignette Camera as my main and mess around with filters. Seriously, that camera app will make any photo look good.

Please, NO! Let's not. Just my vote. I really don't see the need. Just update info in the op.

Agreed...that may jinx it.

Eh, I think we collectively decided that changing the title of the thread itself wasn't really necessary. I would definitely be in favor of some boldface print in the OP clearly declaring that we're relatively sure the 8th is the final release date, though.

Ok, so Steven needs to update OP, but no change to title. Maybe when we get Official word from VZW on the date? Or not even then?

Anyone else thing we are really close to having enough info for Steven to change the title of the thread to include 12/8? I know many were not onboard with the latest rumor changes, but this is getting to be a super-rumor, if not an all-but confirmed fact. What do you say?

Tough call. So "Official Galax Nex pre-release super rumor for 12/8 if not an all but confirmed fact thread?"

Idk lol :D I'm more inclined to let Verizon's words come forth, but that's just me!

24 was great. I wish they would have let him die in the series finale, though. It was kind of anti-climactic. I mean, how many times has he run away from the government already? I heard a 24 movie is in the works, but it's kind of like that mythical Arrested Development movie. I doubt it ever happens.

Anybody else share my theory that we have Hanette to thank for moving the release date up from 12/31 to 12/8? I imagine the scenario going something like this:

Hanette is working away when a gaggle of VZW executives walk by discussing their evil plot to hold out on the release until 12/31...or later. Hanette hears this, and panics. She runs after the executives, throws herself on the floor, grabbing one of them by the ankles and cries "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I can't take it anymore! Please, for the love of all that is holy, release the phone so my brother will get a life and leave me alone!" Fearing that Hanette will become suicidal - or worse, homicidal - the executives decide that keeping their faithful employee sane is more important than their silly little prank, and set the date for 12/8.

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Now that is funny, .........and on topic!

Truth be told, the camera is very low on the priority list of things that I need in a phone. I think I've taken a total of maybe a hundred pictures and exactly one video in the year and a half I've had my OG Droid. Most people that care a tremendous amount about the megapixels and other features of phone cameras have real, actual cameras that they probably also tote around with them, so I'm at a little bit of a loss as to why the Nexus' camera is being fussed over to this extent.

Well the Arrested Development movie is definitely happening along with 9 more episodes in 2013. AD is hilarious and I cannot wait to see some more episodes. Its weird to see the cast on other TV shows because I expect them to be in their AD characters.

I have looked and cannot ind one. There is a market. As soon as one cop sees it they all see and want it and rightly so.

Would also be excellent for a movie theater setting, or for me when I am rocking the baby to sleep. A lot of times he turns around to see what I am doing when my screen lights up.

Not sure if anyone here is a camera aficionado but if you are and are in the know . . .

The sensor for the Galaxy S II is allegedly better making the camera better than the Nexus (allegedly). Did Samsung do this because they could not get zero lag out of better sensors?

What I'm asking is did Samsung make a choice with this phone to have less quality to introduce a new feature until the other technology could catch up OR could they have included better sensors AND still had zero lag?

True that! It's no wonder simon gave her all slow songs - when she belted in the save me song it was an absolute mess.

And Simon looked straight up HOMICIDAL haha

I think people want this phone to be the perfect golden-haired child, but it can't be. It won't live up to the hype we've laid on it, even if it turns out to be the best phone any of us have ever had (which I think it will).

I'll be a little disappointed if the camera isn't awesome, just because I'd like to be able to snap a quick, good pic when the situation calls for it. We tend to do a lot of our stuff on the spur of the moment, so for me it's necessary.

Hah, please dont encourage more movie theater phone usage than there already is.
