I think you're referring to OTD and her rep. She also had a hands on with the Gnex a while back too. I remember that post as well. I still think signs point to in stores on the 8th.

Except..... That carrot is a self-imposed Forum Speculation carrot. Sources are information, not official Verizon statements.

All Verizon has said is by the end of the year. They still have 29 days.

I'd love for there to be another carrier I could use. I live in West B-F Egypt. T-Mobile and AT&T have NO service at my home. Sprint is almost as bad. I could us US Cellular. (ummmm dont think so)

I'll be mad at verizon when they miss their promised date.

Although, I do agree and would love to have that date.

I'm not denying that. But it is a floating target nonetheless. I'm tired of it floating. My Dinc is still fully functional. While most of the chatter and "date setting" is forum speculation talk, it is somewhat undeniable that there have been tentative dates with solid credibility that have changed. Most likely, changed for legitimate reasons, but still they have changed.

P3 and Pyde are in disagreement and will be until the 8th arrives it seems. Someone on the twitters just asked them both who is right. They're both sticking to their guns with Pyde saying the 8th is preorder, and P3 saying the 8th is release. So in summary, no one freaking knows.

Except we've had multiple other insider sources (HanSolo's sister, The_Chief's VZW rep, etc.) confirm the 8th; plus, we've also heard that there might not be any pre-order period at all, which could mean that Pyde's "pre-order date" is just a release date.

I don't believe p3 said the 8th, he gave a countdown to it, but that could be for preorder. p3 said we'd have it with 14 days on like the last day of Nov, which would encompass Dec 12

If there's a pre-order we'll know next week, if there's a release we'll know next week. And every "source" has mentioned December 8th in some way/shape/form so I'm pretty darn optimistic that we'll have something official from Verizon next week.

All our sources have been wrong or changed their minds at the eleventh hour

For what it's worth, what my sister said was that the pre-order prompt was being sent out yesterday (which was proven today with the screenshot of said button). The last time this happened, with the RAZR, it was a week before pre-order began.

So, something will happen on the 8th, I'm just not sure what.

Could be release. Could be pre-order.

And as some others have pointed out don't forget OTD's. That one sounds good to me for some reason it just seems more believable to my ears/eyes.

Ugh. Glad I ordered mine via J&R, but who knows if they'll fare any better in fulfilling these. Always had luck with them before, though, and have to support my hometown store.

I just preordered my 64GB champagne from JR.com but have never dealt with them before. Care to share any thoughts on their customer service, etc?

That's not a bad idea, but what if someone feels left out because their buddy picked another buddy. Maybe it should be random. And then we can hold hands when boarding the plane and do buddy checks at the pool. Very safe plan. I like it.

Not to be a debby-downer but if thats the case then you all are contradicting yourself. The point is Verizon hasn't said anything yet (besides THE FACT that it will come before the end of the month). So my question is why let the lack of sunshine ruin your day? On a side note, I would love to go strangle every VZW corporate collared exec right now!!

Yes, I have an old family friend that works for VZW corporate and he told me not to make plans for next Thursday and to return my "brick" (Rezound). While it is possible that he plans to make some crazy trip to the Rocky Mountains next week and thinks I should get an iPhone, I'm kind of doubting it.
