Using Light Flow on my GSM GNex right now.

It will allow you to assign different colors to different notifications. It will cycle between the various colors if you want, or just flash the color of the most recent notification if needed. You can craft different vibe notifications for each app as well if you want.

The dev on that project just got a GNex recently as well, so compatibility is assured there.

It was just updated on the 15th of Nov. It's got a nice new widget I'm really liking it (never liked the other 2 widgets it comes with).

Mine takes 5 rings just tested with wifes phone

Sort of on-topic, regarding the LED notification and lack thereof on the iPhone:

Naturally, my iPhone fanboi friend was like "why would I ever need that?". I explained the use of different colors for different notifications and his response was "why? I can just turn on my screen and see all the notifications". Um yeah, I can do that too (and more efficiently I might add), but the LED is much better at a quick glance to see if I have something important worth checking or not. He didn't seem to "get it", but I'm sure once Apple adds a notification LED (which probably has hard-coded colors you can't change, because Apple tells you what colors you should use for what notification!), he'll be all "wow this is the best feature ever! apple rocks!" :rolleyes:

I find myself conducting surveillance in clubs and restaurants and am waiting for something with good low-light capabilities.

Right now I use a Kodak Zi8 (awesome in lo-light) that so-far has never been confused as a video camera.
With a phone cam I can update the office on the spot.

I will be posting my findings with test shots from a Long Horns Steak House that is medium to low-light. Most Long Horns are the same so folks can relate.
Some lowlight demos I see are pretty much useless because I cannot relate to the actual ambient light.

Gapi, have you seen the Mobile Hidden Camera App? Turns off screen and buttons while still letting you record video. Hides files - doesn't put them in the gallery. One version basically silences the phone and puts it airline mode so the video isn't interrupted. Could be useful for you.......

Hate to sound like a downer and recycle a line I've used repeatedly here but I really do think we're all fatigued. How many OP updates have been made reflecting release date rumors? When that happens some see it as 'critical information' and it places more emphasis on it as being factually based. Again, after all this dog and pony show I think we're just a little fatigued. Also, the east coasters are all in their cars on their way home from work. He'll get his thanks. Just wait ;)

i sincerely doubt that craig's list phone is him - he wouldn't jeopardize himself by doing that. also, that listing was from Mesa, and i seem to recall P3 working and living in Phx (and i believe the West Valley)...

I just got a call from a local Verizon store. My physical reaction was inappropriate for this forum. It was some sales-dude asking if I wanted to switch my home phone to Verizon. My physical reaction changed at that point. I politely listened and declined but had to get in my Nexus plug because it's the forum law.

He said he heard it was supposed to be released in mid-December but has been pushed back to January to boost the first quarter. After he dropped that he suggested I stop into the store, yadda, yadda.

Analysis: He believed what he said because he was pushing for me to stop in and if he thought the date was next week would have used that to get me in the store. I do not believe his information was accurate for two reasons:
  1. I don't want to believe it.
  2. He's just a local guy who probably has the same sources as we do.

Take it for what it's worth. I'm reporting this because I heard it not because I feel it's accurate.

When he said January you should have asked him if he's check AF lately to get the latest rumors or if it's been a couple days since he's been on here. :)
 
BTW I am @mattdonders -- the one that started that little fiasco between P3Droid and PydePepper over on Twitter.

So PydePepper seems to think the 15th and P3Droid and many people here are thinking the 8th. Figured I would just try to get some more info from them and that's what happened.

oh there are evil faeries in the some of the woods though... and a ghost dog... and there really was a crazy dad in a custody battle who showed up and tried to kidnap his kid and threatened a friend of mine about 10 years ago. Oh and there was also this one time that a bank robber was spotted near camp and we had to be on 'night watch'... but other than that, camp is about as safe as school.

I went to camp several summers when I was a kid. Wildest thing was the panty raid on the girls cabins. Oh wait, one of the counselors did get chased by a bear through the woods when we played a game similar to manhunt. He was all beat up when he got back.

EDIT: I never took part in any of those panty raids because I was a gentleman

Ouch! Ya know, after all my raving about having to work ridiculous hours the other day (04:30-midnight in case you were wondering) today-- I put in about 4-5 solid hours of standing around watching the boss work. It was great. Now get out of there and enjoy the weekend!.... in front of your computer ;)
