So I rented a Razr for a few days and took it back this past week in anticipation for the Galaxy Nexus.
I've been on the phone with Verizon the past 3 days trying to get my upgrade eligibility back. Apparently since they no longer offer yearly upgrades once you use it, they can't just put it back into the system, and a manager approval upgrade will not work on 4g phones.
So I finally got a rep to make notations on my account to allow me to upgrade to the Nexus. How reliable are these notes, and can I call the local store and have them verify they are on there? I returned the phone early before the 14 days so I wouldn't have any problems upgrading to the nexus and having to fight with them about the holiday return. I can't even imagine what people are going to go through trying to get them to return a phone past the 14 days.
I think the connection works with the 3-pin assembly. See 0:40 on the video to confirm that a "Micro USB to HDMI MHL" cable will plug into the back of the dock. Then you'll just need a "splitter" like this one (but for the Nexus) to allow for a charger and connection to TV. Of course worst case scenario, you could do the same thing without the dock.Is anyone else disappointed the landscape dock doesn't have the hdmi/mhl connection? I guess it would be hard to do since the port is on the bottom of the phone but still...
But isn't there a difference between "disabling" the bloatware and uninstalling it? A disabled app still takes up space, right? Can you actually eliminate the bloat?

I am going to dinner first - it is not a date - it is dinner with a friend who is then going to be the one to show me Star Wars for the first time. Yes, Episode 4.
And while it isn't a 'date' because neither of us has any expectations other than friendly conversation, dinner and movie I am still looking to my 'family' for opinions because it's what a woman stresses over.

As do I! Which Verizon was the OP referring to? I usually go to the Arboretum location. Not sure if I'll go there for the Gnex release or just order online.

Ha! That's the store closest to me too. When I stopped by last Saturday, they told me that the Black Friday rush was so large they had to take down the door and surrounding windows to deal with the crowd.I went to the Northlake Verizon. Not the one in the Mall, but the store in the Target complex by the mall.
I love the Northlake area. I moved here a year ago from Boston without ever visiting Charlotte and wanted to stay north for work. My commute roundtrip has decreased from 2.5 hours to a half hour.

Guess I was gullible enough to believe it.![]()
I live about fifteen minutes from the Samsung store. I might check it out later tonight or tomorrow, if I can convince myself that it is okay for me to not study for an hour or two. If I do go, is there anything specific anyone wants looked at/a picture taken of/tried out?
