Here ya go all, I went out on a whim and chatted up a CSR. She said the preoder for our Nexus goes live on Wednesday. Want proof? Take a look at the chat screenshot. This is completely legit; I would never try to pull a fast one on you guys! Love ya's!

If i find a pouch I like i may not use a case, but I will be ordering a TPU car to have on deck for bar nights or other rowdy adventures.

I kept my OG naked except a screen protector, but it wound up pretty smashed, the slide out keyboard is loose and crooked and there are gouges in the metal at the corners from being dropped. Which always happened at he bar.

so after much debate, and indecision, I think for me, I need the option of a new case when called for, but mostly she will be nekkid and the Sena pouch is very classy so i think it might be the one for me!

The Sena pouch is good if you want thin scratch resistance while in pocket/purse/book bag/etc but it offers nearly zero drop protection.

You're correct that it is a classy option. I think it is very businesslike.

I see a lot of people are getting TPU cases. Is there a general consensus that this is one of the best cases? For everyone else what cases are you getting? Additionally who won't be using a case?

FWIW -- Just received my clear qubits TPU case. I must say holding it allays any fears I had about the Gnex's size. The case is remarkably thin, but I have never used a case, and I'm not sure I will use this one. Amazon had it available for about $6, and I couldn't go buy my phone, so I purchased it just so I could feel like I was making progress towards getting my precious.

I'm kind of glad they don't have a Samsung Experience with an SGN on display here in Chicago.

I want my unboxing to be my very first experience. Pure, unadulterated wonder.

That's why I also haven't used an ICS theme or ROM yet on my Dinc2.

I just got a text from that corporate Verizon store I like. He says:

The 8th for the Nexus here. Haven't heard of indirect stores though.

I asked him how official it was, and he said:

We are having a regional priority meeting Thursday. Probably about the new phone(s) coming out. Nothing is specified yet.

Considering that the UN55D8000 lists at $3500, I thought I got a DANG good deal on it. Bought it from Amazon on Thanksgiving Day for $1938 (through Paul's TV), including White Glove shipping (they bring it in, unbox it, turn it on, test it out, and haul away the packing materials). So for little more than a high-end Walmart TV we got the top-of-the-line 3D model delivered.

The 7000 is just about as good. Contrast ratio is a little lower, but I'm not sure it'll make a difference in real life. I don't think you can go wrong with either one

And I'm replacing a 12-year old 36" CRT TV

DANG!!! Yeah that is an amazing deal. The 7000 series I have seen going for 1700-1800, and I would def pay the extra 200 for the better contract ratio. You def made the right decision on that one. And coming from where you were, you are going to LOVE that set. Samsung makes amazing TVs.

I love my Sammy TV! It's maybe 5 years old but it's one of the last flat screen not flat panel types, so it looks pretty slim but actually has a protrusion on the back end. The color is great, when we can upgrade to a real flat screen (going above the fire place as it's already wired for it!) I will definitely be sticking with them.

Not sure how I feel about the 3d ones, but I do like the idea of a smart tv. I have a roku right now and I figured that could dovetail in nicely? I

That's how I use them too. But I've certainly come across people who use those terms more loosely. I hope she's one of them.

Is this the article you got the information from? It's going to get crazy tonight! I was happy to read that they will take two whole seasons to arrive at the series' "endgame". Many shows' series finales end too abruptly. I hated the way Dexter ended last season (season 5). Not the bad guy sequence per say, but the other story line with Julia Stiles. Too predictable and "tidy". Of course I'm biased, but Julia Stiles should never have received an Emmy nomination for her role. Jennifer has yet to receive and Emmy, Golden Globe or SAG nomination for her role as Debra Morgan. I say WTF?!?! However, I have hope for this year. She's really done an excellent job this season and I'll be shocked if she doesn't garner a nomination. Unfortunately a lot of those awards are "pay to play" so she could get snubbed again. She too humble for that crap.

On topic:

I'd like my Nexus please. And two large fries.

I'm hoping for online ordering since my Thurs and Fri work schedules make it impossible to get to my VZW Corporate store. I could get out at lunch time on Friday, but if they go on sale Thursday I'm afraid the store will sell out. How slow will Mon- Wed go? I'm going to see Paul Simon Monday night so that should distract me for a couple of hours.

But it's not too nice for everyday use, which is good.

Droid 1 pre dates Nexus and still has vanilla Android.

Many people wanted to stay on Verizon. None of the other Nexus phones were offered on Verizon.

What brand of holsters to you find to be the best?

as of now the best pouch ive found typicalll isnt made for the exact model of phone i may use per se, the one im using now was a vzw pouch for my OG droid, it was a bit loose for it but when i got the droid x it fit perfectly, (the sides of the pouch are elastic and streched to be a snug fit) and im still using the same pouch for my droid 3 now and it fits just fine as well. the only phone i didnt use in this pouch was the droid charge, not that it didnt fit, but i just went "pocket" for that time.
