If it doesn't launch this week I will be doing the same thing, playing with my fascinate and its ICS rom until the nexus does launch. I would love for the nexus to be out but my fascinate is doing great holding me over.

Why am I not surprised? It's just more confirmation of what I've been saying. Hell, even the OP that said he got a phone call seems to be having some doubts and said something like "well if I get there and they don't have a phone for me I better get something out of it".

I totally get your rationalization, I tend to have a more pessimistic mindset myself but Verizon did say that The Galaxy Nexus would release later this year and since there's only 26 days left of 2011 it's bound to be here very soon, unless Verizon is flat out lying.

With that said we have the Best Buy screen shot,also there are numerous confirmations of it launching on or near the 8th. Last but definitely not least is the phone is on display the weekend before it's anticipated to launch, now even for a pessimistic person such as myself that's too much of a coincidence.

Have you ever tackled quantum with your philosophical perspective? It is hard, but sort of rewarding. Our professor did it in class for one day (sort of a break of all the math day), and it was interesting. We only had 50 min, so we got very little accomplished, but it brought up a lot of good questions.

I haven't gotten into too many specific forms of tech, but I plan on it. I love the blending of the fields of philosophy and pretty much anything else :)

going off of that theory that we should have the phone soon because of the inventory picture, then we should have had the phone a couple weeks ago because that picture leaked a long while back

Not really. It never said a date, most likely it could have been ordered and just shipped. Sorry my point makes no reference to it should be out already just because it leaked a few weeks back. I forgot they have teleporters that magically ship all those units instantly.:rolleyes:
 
With all this talk about shipments and stock, one has to wonder why we haven't seen anything regarding the matter... you would think there would be someone who snapped pics in a warehouse or something :S
 
I am thinking probably the 8th is right as well but I am not forgetting that before the 28th people were talking about samsung reps with demo units in stores, boxes in the back room of best buy waiting to be opened and all of the rumors lining up for that date, and the people stating it had been delayed to december were being ripped with some pretty strong language.

you are overlooking the obvious... that screenshot is the same one we seen weeks ago when supposedly the order was either placed or shortly thereafter. thats all the "proof" we have. what im arguing is that the phone is no more likely to be here this week than it was the week after that leak showed up, with that being the only proof you cant corroborate it any further with supporting evidence
 
Its hard to know how many of these rumors are truly from separate sources. we have already seen some of the Verizon CSR information was actually info they had gotten from online forums and not Verizon - which was then repeated on the forums as new news.
It creates this circular, snowball effect with sources all quoting each other and no one knows where the actual original info came from.

I remember the secrecy surrounding the iPhone 5 :rolleyes:....oh I mean iPhone 4s and for the life of me I don't remember anyone posting pics or even leaked info on iPhone 5's :rolleyes: or even iPhone 4s's in a Verizon warehouse in the days before the announcement of its availability.

Maybe I missed that but could it be Verizon has a system in place that works against such leaks? :cool:

But we've seen other leaks regarding the GNex, so clearly the pre-launch secrecy strategy is different for the GNex than the iPhone 4S.

Yes, but it's impossible to have an infinite amount of monkeys. Therefore any experiment is impossible.

It's a theory that can't ever be proven.
