As AF Turns, another week in the saga of this thread. If by chance it doesn't show this week we will all wish we were more like Ken and if it does we will all be saying 'Take that Ken, no you can't touch it'.
Just so you guys know, I went over to AC and read through that thread and nobody was able to get a similar response or confirmation from their stores.
Why am I not surprised? It's just more confirmation of what I've been saying. Hell, even the OP that said he got a phone call seems to be having some doubts and said something like "well if I get there and they don't have a phone for me I better get something out of it".
When I see em, I'll believe it.![]()
Thanks. I have taken a quantum physics course of two, and if there ever existed statistics that were absurd but somehow correct, it is in quantum phys.
Have you ever tackled quantum with your philosophical perspective? It is hard, but sort of rewarding. Our professor did it in class for one day (sort of a break of all the math day), and it was interesting. We only had 50 min, so we got very little accomplished, but it brought up a lot of good questions.

but the thousands of rumors you are referencing all were a leaked document with release dates and not a shot of inventory. I agree that it may not happen but an inventory holds a little more water than leaked docs showing a rumored date since we have seen what 10+ of those all switching dates, with this on the other hand sticking to what it originally said. Not saying to take it as 100% proof because with this launch nothing can be taken that way, it just is a little more solid with it not changing and being retracted every other day.
This is about all that's left over if Samsung follows that list:

At least until Apple patents 3 vertices in consumer electronics.
How in the world does a SGSII or Galaxy Nexus "look like" an iPhone?? Gotta love Apple![]()
going off of that theory that we should believe the inventory picture, then we should have had the phone a couple weeks ago because that picture leaked a long while back
It has a touchscreen and icons and it's a phone. Close enough for apple I guess. I hope I don't get confused when I go in to get my nexus and walk out with an iPhone![]()
Not really. It never said a date, most likely it could have been ordered and just shipped. Sorry my point makes no reference to it should be out already just because it leaked a few weeks back. I forgot they have teleporters that magically ship all those units instantly.![]()
With all this talk about shipments and stock, one has to wonder why we haven't seen anything regarding the matter... you would think there would be someone who snapped pics in a warehouse or something :S

Maybe people don't want to risk losing their job over a pic![]()
Talked to Mr S

Save yourself from the stress and only believe Verizon regarding release dates.
I remember the secrecy surrounding the iPhone 5....oh I mean iPhone 4s and for the life of me I don't remember anyone posting pics or even leaked info on iPhone 5's
or even iPhone 4s's in a Verizon warehouse in the days before the announcement of its availability.
Maybe I missed that but could it be Verizon has a system in place that works against such leaks?![]()
It is not impossible. It is highly improbably.
Let us use a quick argument that can scale. I want a monkey to produce a 10,000 character string. Assume I give the monkey a keyboard with only letters/shift key. Thus, he has 52 choices for each space (each letter and its capital version).
So, the probability of him making the string on any given 10k letter run is
P(10k string == my string) = (1/52)^10000 = (1.923*10^-2)^10000. It is tiny. Almost all calculators will round it down to zero. But in reality it is not zero. So what we are saying is that given 1/P(10k string == my string) tries (again, just very large, NOT infinite), this monkey has a really good chance of coming up with my 10k character string.
Since 1/P(10k string == my string) is large but still < infinity, given infinite monkeys and infinite time (or just one monkey and infinite time, but I think we all like the idea of infinite monkeys), my string will be typed by a random coincidence.
The same scales for the Bibile, Shakespeare, whatever.
