So they have a Nexus in a Verizon store. I really don't understand how they couldn't release this phone in the next week.

I think their marketing theme for the nexus has been to let the internet hype this phone without saying a single thing about it, which has worked for the most part.

Nexus in a Verizon store? If you are talking about the NYC display, that's a Samsung store. Unless something just happened that I'm not aware of yet...

As far as marketing, it's been speculated that Verizon will do almost no marketing for the Nexus, and that they will be leaving it up to Google and Samsung. While there has been nothing on TV for it (yet), Google has been pumping out crazy amount of internet advertising since October.

I think it's for the whole forum (not just this thread). So next week when we all get tired of our GNs and get all excited about the next superphone we have a better experience.
 
Oh...thanks for getting my hopes up! Yea it's a Samsung store and most likely Verizon did have to give the okay for them to display it as it has Verizon branding on it. They probably would have displayed it way earlier had they had permission at the time.

I use the ones from verizon, I know many hate them but they work great for me(screen protectors) I am not sure if I am going to put a case on it or not. If I do most likely I will get a tpu case, since it doesn't add much bulk and gives some added protection.

Nice! Too bad I am not up at my sister's.. my brother in law's collection of music is close to two terabytes last I checked. All legal. He ended up paying someone to rip his 1500+ vinyl album collection to digital after seeing how long one record took.

Poor me stuck with a 52 gb music folder. Need to figure out what I want to sync to google music for my gnex when it comes.
