Hey guys/gals i just had a very odd conversation with a csr online check out the below. This definitely makes me feel like they have no idea what they are talking about when it comes to phone releases:

Pamela: Hello, how can i help you today?

Me: Well i was looking into some of the hype of an upcoming phone(Samsung Galaxy Nexus and i just have to have it. I was wondering if you had any information on a possible pre-order or even the release date?

Pamela: What are you wearing stud?

Me: ummm.... i'm not sure what that has to do with the phone but dress pants and an argyle sweater. Now can you please help me with some information regarding the Galaxy Nexus?

Pamela: *running fingers through your hair* make me feel like i'm on top of the world baby!

Me: um i think i'm in the wrong place....gotta go!

i kid obviously lol
 
you want the answer to when this phone will be released.....add 14 days to today and thats the day. Until tomorrow of course, which you can then again add 14 days and that will again be the day...........I have no faith it will release this week and im not getting excited for it.... hope vzw can prove me wrong.

This thing will constantly be pushed back until it's guaranteed to not interfere with the RAZR's holiday sales. Just wait until next week when it's pushed back again to after xmas. The thing that shouldn't be overlooked is the fact that the further the release gets pushed back, the narrower the time period between its release and when phones like the Rezound & Razr gets ICS.

did P3 send that message about eating his phone to a specific person? Is there a loophole, where he could send his Nexus to that person, thereby putting a nexus "in their hands" and then not have to eat his phone?

i don't think it's going to interfere with the Razr "sales", since VZW is now giving them away... Verizon is Giving Away a DROID RAZR Every Day in December – Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog

Could they be fake? Sure. Is it possible the plans have changed? Quite possibly.

What I find amazing is how some VZW store sales guys can go in and look at their computer and say 'yeah, it'll be out on the 8th or 9th' and others can stare at the same screen and say there's no info.

So either they're looking at different parts of the VZW site or being less than honest.

If the Canadians get this phone before me I'm going to be beyond mad.

I'm fine with admitting this, I'm most upset that I didn't get this phone before other countries and it's getting annoying thinking that I'm going to be one of the LAST people on the planet to get this phone.

If it doesn't release soon it almost doesn't even make sense to get the phone with Quadcores that are more energy efficient coming out next year...
 
It's like that woman we all dated, you wait and wait and she doesn't put out.
Just ignore the crap out of her and well she will be beginning for it.
Then when you're done say it wasn't worth the wait, or just turn her down.

This.

BS is at an all-time high. I don't think anyone here is lying through their teeth (although obviously that's a possibility), but I think the store reps and CSR's are not being very truthful in a lot of instances.

When we pare it down to the core, we have this:

1. There is some kind of a button that was sent out. This has been confirmed by a system screen.

2. There is a regional priority meeting set for this Thursday morning.


That's it.

You know people are taking this too seriously when they start quoting the Bible to help them carry on and remain positive. Of course I've been leaning on the wisdom contained in Philippians 4:8 lately, as the wait drags on. lol.

Verizon has multiple systems. It took them four years to update my name and address in all of them after I got married. They would correct it in one system at a time, and inevitably, either on the phone or in a store, somebody would find the old info in their system. One Rep finally got it changed everywhere and told me they had anumber of different systems that aren't linked together. I wonder if their systems are similar for phones?

I find this how it typically starts every day in this thread (especially with the lack of news from Big Red).

Kind of like a weather forecast.

Lows in the morning and highs in the afternoon, with a 50% chance of clouds and tears in the evening.
