Sorry, what happened? Why is everyone doubting the 8th and 9th now? The lack of a PR this morning for the nexus? Or did something more tangible/credible come up? Man I was really hoping to get it this week.

The "Power and Protection Package" seems silly (YMMV if you like cases), but I think the "Spare Battery Charging Kit" is a GREAT deal. I'd argue that depends on when and where deliveries occur and IF it's coming to stores today. Phil did indicate that it will be starting either today or Tuesday. I envision it will be a couple of days before a majority of stores begin receiving shipments in a given region.

It's simply a probability game, the closer we get to the 8th without any hard evidence, the less likely it is it will be out then.

That said, I have updated my odds to 30 percent this week, 45 percent next week, and 25 percent later than that.

Pretty much. I'm confident the flood gates will open since I am away from my PC today and totally dependant on the app which does not play nicely with my DX.

Someone posted a great post yesterday about this. You gotta remember. Its in most contracts of employment that you are not to give out company information or take photos of company possessions that are not public yet and dispense them. People dont want to loose jobs, its the holiday season and they need the money more then ever. Imagine if you went to the stock room to photo a Gnex box and your manager or senior rep walked back there. You bet your butt you could face trouble or firing.

I know as much as I love this site and the community, I wouldnt take any photos (not to mention with the geolocation on alot of phones if you forgot to disable it, it may trace back to your store) but try and just tell info out as I got it.

- On a side note. A contact I have in a local verizon region told me that when verizon does PR releases, BGR gets them first. He doesnt know why, but thats who they send the first bits of info to.

According to the thread on AC, it sounds like he thinks the shipments are in-transit, which is certainly a good sign. Before I clicked on Stigy's links to said thread, I was under the impression that there were claims out there that shipments had already arrived at some stores.

If Phil at AC is right, the next 48 hours should be very telling.

Just status quo. We haven't had any bad news, and are coming off a high from the NYC Samsung store this weekend, so gotta find something to get down from the peak. So lack of info has turned into bad news (I will be in this group come tomorrow this time if we are still here).
 
Argh. Just got caught up in the thread. So another week? Well really a little over a week. Seriously? Possible pre-order this week. Damn I thought it would be in our hands on the 8th.

True, but if past phone releases are any indication, there's always someone who will snap a pic that ends up online.

Regarding BGR, I've been F5'ing their site all morning. :o
