I have got it yall! All the boxes are white from the factory. But then because Verizon loads their bloated crapware on each phone, the box feels so dirty for holding a phone like that, it turns black. The GNex box is still white for a reason!

Why are there two lids? The thing on the far left looks like another lid, not a sleeve, because it appears to NOT be hollow. I am no photo analysis expert, but the shadows make it look like a lid, and not a sleeve. But why two lids?

I haven't told anyone they're right or wrong regarding why Samsung took that phone away. I am saying that the notion of a promotion creating foot traffic being detrimental to sales is WRONG.

I am not experienced enough in retail to debate with you on this point. However it should be known that the sales aspect of the argument is a moot point. The Samsung Experience does not sell ANYTHING in the store. It is strictly a demo shop for all things Samsung.

Because they are all about the hits and $$$$. Droid life is very misleading in 90% of their articles just to get hits.

the box is 2 pieces and the white thing on the left is the sleeve is what it looks like.

My thunderbolt box is plain black but there is a sleeve that has all the info... Just speculating

Agree. There is probably a sleeve that goes over it. There has been for every phone I've ever purchased from Verizon.

What a Monday!! So while I was getting ready for work, my husband decided to "update" my Fascinate. Why? I asked him because I'm getting a NEW PHONE soon! Well, he is a techy and just "HAD" to do it! HE BRICKED IT!!!! ACK! So I am back on the old OG Droid that doesn't work worth a crap! I can barely make phone calls, and a text, but that is it! No contacts, no email, no facebook, no browser, no music! So he was on the phone with VZ all morning, and they decided that they would fulfill the insurance and send me a "new" one. Should be here tomorrow. Great! So...now he will probably give me a hard time about getting a Nexus...oh well! Just look at it this way, I'll have a newer phone to sell once I do get my GNex!

Frankly, I'm shocked the phone doesn't come in a container made of solid light with the Nexus levitating out of it once opened. The limited edition hard-light box can remold itself into a clear case to protect the phone.
