BTW: "Sources" of today are like fortune-tellers of the last century, everyone gets excited when the reiterate what we already know or what has already been said, just in different words.

me too, $40 bucks for the charger/stand and spare battery seem like a good deal! i may wait just a bit tho and try to find a battery from the korean lte(2000 mah) and charger/stand from there.... seems like a good in-between from the stock 1850 and a bulkier 2400+ extended(that may or may not come out)
 
Well, I just chatted with a CSR (her name was Kenisha, not Tiffany :)) and she knew nothing of a pre-order/release date for the G-Nex. Either that or she wasn't talking.

These are unbranded boxes that have been sent out to various reviewers and testers. Also, one of my contacts was able to trace those specific photos to the demo units provided to the Samsung Experience store in NYC.

So just to reiterate, these are pre-release boxes. I hope this will clear things up for you guys. :)

It's possible that the Demo phone comes in a different box then retail phones. That way it could be preloaded with a demo video and just put on display.

Of course this is just total speculation.
 
If you look closely, you can see the Rezound had the same exterior box as the Nexus.

I figured I'd just email the Verizon account rep (His email signature says "Business Account Executive") for my work about the Dec 8 rumor, this was his response:

[FONT=&quot]"I heard a rumor the nexus was pushed back a week so the 8th might be a little early. But that's all I know for now."[/FONT]

I figure he is a little higher up than a CSR, but he states that he is just hearing rumors, which he could have just seen on the internet.

Because the only other conclusion is that this box and phone are of something sitting either in a warehouse somewhere, or in a tester
 
Honestly, I'm not really expecting much more news today, just reiterating things that have already been put up. I think tomorrow is the day that'll have all the big news. Only because I'll be travelling for work and unable to obsessively hit F5 waiting for new info.

Just playing devil's advocate here but how is your "contact" able to trace non-descript pictures to a specific location if they are the same unbranded boxes that were sent out to various reviewers and testers? Does he recognize the hands holding the phone?

Random useless info:

I just contacted CenturyLink Business number (1.866.660.1579) through my business to inquire about purchasing the GN through them. I spoke with a business rep and he did say the "TENTATIVE" release date they've been given is the 8th, but that was the TENTATIVE release date for Verizon, not them. That they would be offering it a few days after VZW because of training for the device.

Nothing conclusive. I'm not stating this as any kind of proof. Just felt like checking up on that lead.

I think this pic is photoshopped! Look at the pixels on the bottom edge of the white box. Very unnatural.

I kid, I kid. Should be worth a few pages anyway.

The only source anyone here should fully trust is Verizon.

Without some proof from me or anyone else here what we read is just going to be a rumor.

I resemble(d) that remark. But that was long ago. I am a changed man and no longer stalk fedex or ups trucks. The drivers didnt like it. The store manager laughed at me. My dog kicked me out of his house.

I have moved on. I dont even read this thread anymore. In fact, this is an automated response.

I am loving my D2 with GB 2.3.3 on it, trying to get all the stuff I used to do on 2.2 to work again. WooHoo! I have been playing with Raz-ounds, and istuff and Biotonic electronics. WooHoo! I am happy.

Please dont bother me with sgnex issues. I dont need no stinkin sgnex.

I AM HAPPY, dag nab it!
