no problem with not believing, there's no way to validate an anonymous tip, and like you said unless it comes from verizon it's not official
i just don't understand how someone could be "fooled" by someone that has stated a future date (the 8th for a release) and also said that it could be pushed back as late as the 13th...nothing they've claimed has not turned out to be true yet
Thanks for the sentiment, Green. My probation doesn't expire until December 11. I could have appealed it, but decided not to. (Not because of anything in particular, I just don't want to go through the hassle.)
I just hope that the 2 year old fetus finally births while I'm still in black.
What are the perks of being on probation other than a black name?

I know im a bit late chiming in on this, but I just got back from a doctors appointment with the wife and heres my .02 on everything so far:
1: Coming soon (on the PR of LTE) - I think that its actually a good sign about it. Why? Well had the PR said 'coming in december' we would have been pissed because it didnt give any new info. But the release said Coming Soon, which in my opinion means "Wait, a press release just for this is around the corner, were not going to steal its thunder". I see it as a positive.
2: The 'double lid box' - Heres also my .02 on that. I cant remember if it was here or on xda, but people were questioning the double lid appearance. I think it a easy explanation. The phone has a curve, If they designed the box so the phone sits partially in the bottom and curves up, then the 'other lid' sits face down to hold the phone in. Also about the box, I think it is not the VZW store demo boxes, but the tester we saw at NYC and also the same they send to sites like BGR, Engadget and The Verge.. Dont be surprised to hear they got a package today or tomorrow.
I still think the phone will go up to pre-order tomorrow night. Based on what BritishTurbo said its falling right in line. He said expect a release 8th or 9th with a short pre-order time. He said pre-order expected around the 6th. Also dont forget that NegriElectronics still has the shipment coming in on the 9th. They posted today and said it was still on schedule.

Well it's common knowledge that we all hope and some of us think it will launch the 8th...but if the 8th comes and goes with no launch. Then what?

As far as I'm concerned, I'm just the same old Han, except I'm not using a specific word and a specific phrase. But my vocabulary for idiocy is so extensive, I'm sure it won't be the last time I'm going Zorro.
I believe open1your1eyes also pointed this out. Also didn't he say that 8th has always been an internal tentative date but 13th was a deadline in case the results of the final testing caused delays? I know I saw him say that, just have to find the quote.
Then obviously something went wrong. I remember open also pointed out that last minute changes are always possible. That why he said to take his info "as you will". I will find these quotes if you really want me to.

if the release fiasco continues much longer i think most of us will need meds at the least and straight jackets at the most.
