We do not know for absolute certainty whether or not the world will end on December 21st, 2012, or whether our heavenly visitors/creators will return at that time. One more year to go until we find out. :D

I think most of the doubters were fairly polite. That said, the guy's posts, followed the "classic" troll pattern right up to the "I'm taking my ball and going home one".

And it seems to have worked fairly well, he got all the attention, and folks that wouldn't have been arguing with each other are.

Please keep in mind that I hope I am wrong about my info, as I've been waiting right along with all of you and can't wait to have this phone in my hands.

I, by no means, claim to be an "insider" in any way, shape or form. I just feel confident enough with this information to share with you. I believe in my sources now, as I have in the past but If I'm wrong I'm wrong, if anything I share helps then great!

All I can do is wait with the rest of you and see what happens. We're all in this together ...

perfectly fine to disagree...personally I'm taking it with a grain of salt not as absolute truth...

no reason to badger someone every time they post information, especially in the polite manner that it was given

the main question that those who think he is an outright liar should ask themselves is "And so what?" if it turns out that this guy was wrong

They proved the Mayan calendar thing wrong, sorry :(

(technically they found out the translation was wrong and it isn't indicating the "end" of the world.)
 
On the list at my local store for Thursday. They also have accessories in the store now. The CSR did say the date hasn't been made official but as soon as she got word she would call.

Lesson being the Gnex will be much more fulfilling for us because of the journey to get it. And, of course, we'll be up and beaming away in no time cause we've researched the phone like crazy. We'll be the folks they turn to when they don't understand something. We'll help them out and tell them about the time back around November 5th all hope seemed lost, that some of the folks just didn't make it to the end... we'll talk about the horror of P3's tweets, the incredible anticipation every time Steven announced he had a post coming up with info from The Source.. how we persevered when it would have been so easy to just give up and accept the Razr or the Rezound.. or the days of railing against the silent Verizon Empire.. of how BB's avatars or Hanette's info helped us to hold firm for the Gnex for just a little longer..

And that we know the true value of "two weeks away.."

Then they'll do that thing everyone does when they think they are talking to someone who's not quite all there.. smile somewhat awkwardly and back away slowly, only to return the next time their phone has a problem. :D

Well, I'm going to end the convo about open1your1eyes right here. I have mixed feelings about the whole thing. I was all ready to jump on the open1your1eyes bandwagon, when our more experienced mods noticed a grave problem with the IP address used. It matched the address of some nefarius and banned (? I forgot) former users.

We had our eye on the situation and I stopped pursuing open1your1eyes for that reason. It is no surprise to me that open1your1eyes reacted this way. His/her reaction lessened his/her credibility in my eyes, even more.

When The Source was attacked last month? S/he told me not to worry about those folks and keep pressing on and that s/he didn't care either way, so I shouldn't either. Mind you, my source had demonstrated credibility before this point.

Having said that. We are officially done with open1your1eyes comments. Let him/her fade out. I will be drawing another of my famous lines. Under this line there will be love and respect for one another in our endeavor. :)
