This upsets me. Makes me think Verizon is making a point to show they can control a phone even if they can't load it up with their bloatware ...
 
Well, for whatever it's worth, I just checked with my local corporate store, and they said that they hadn't heard anything about a release date yet; according to him, they usually receive notice of release dates about a week in advance, so a launch this week would be unlikely. Hrm. :/

Not to pick on our legit new members, but obviously the accounts would have most likely been created Dec 2011 or November 2011. Just don't attack anyone that's new because of that.

At least I would've had a year to spend with my Gnex before the world ends 12/2012 I wonder if I can take my Gnex with me to heaven when I go...I am sure they have excellent cell service there!
 
I find it interesting that even those who seem to be getting calls from the CSRs are still getting two dates, the 8th and the 9th, as their availability dates. Still not firm enough for me, yet, to get excited about. But I'm still hopeful for a release on one of those two days.
 
i'm not going to lie. i'm hating this waiting game. i truly am still hoping to get this device in my hands this week, but since we've finally gotten a legitimate leak of training materials, it wouldn't surprise me if the launch comes next week. BLAH.

My sales rep made a point of telling me I could have one or the other but not both.

It does kind of jive with the "limited supply" thing. If there weren't enough LTE units, it only makes sense that VZW corporate stores would have them first and subsequent shipments would be split up amongst corporate stores and resellers. I'm still not holding onto any specific date anymore, though. I'll count on 12/31 so as not to be too disappointed when the 8th (and 15th) come and go. :cool:
 
Fact of the matter is, it doesn't seem like anyone has even hinted at Verizon releasing this phone later than the 15th. So at the very least, we are (as always) about 2 weeks away...hahaha

Every single store I called said they don't get any information usually until the very last possible second, meaning they might not even see anything official about the Nexus until the day before it launches, or when Verizon officially announces it (whichever comes first :P)

Its your honest and forthright candor that does not warrant pure skepticism. This gal put a lot on the line if she is wrong, not you. You'll be the one who suffers more than us here if it turns out to be a load of BS... as I imagine you wont be sleeping that night afterwards.

Second best sitcom ever... by a very close margin. Fawlty Towers is tops. And yes, the George character is pure comedy genius. Again though, a very close second to Basil Fawlty. ;)
