If you are using google music and you select the album rather than the song through your phone then start at say song 1 or whatever it should start rolling through all of them in order, same thing if create a special playlist it should start at song you want and roll through all of them

Why? Because you think verizon has to announce this a week in advance for it to come? I honestly think it will be a pretty quiet launch for this one no matter what all the tech geeks want to think of how awesome this phone is. To a normal consumer they do not know what ICS is or how it is any different from gb. If that was the case no other phones would be selling...

Reborn58 your a good guy and a positive contributor, but i'm gonna play devils advocate here and mention when I went pre order a Rezound (before it was released) it took me 7 or 8 attempts to finally reach a rep that could see it in the system, I only kept trying because other members posted that they were able to get it, I didn't believe them at first because I had made so many attempts that were unsuccessful, but when I was finally able to place that order I felt the need to go and apologize to those I assumed were lying. True story
 
Before I leave, I have a question about something that's been bugging me with the Google Music app + Voice Actions:

When I say "listen to X" it prompts me to choose which app I want to use. Ok, I choose Google Music and make it the default. But all it does is do a search for the query and I have to manually select it. I thought I remembered seeing a demo where it automatically started playing whatever matched the query. Can someone confirm if this works in ICS? Would be super helpful and more Siri-like :)

That all depends on how smart VZW were about provisioning stock for the what is shaping up to be the best Android handset available, for a while at least. They had a similar setup with the HTC Droid Incredible, and they blew that game badly. The DInc was almost impossible to buy in corporate stores for months. They started out with a dramatic underestimation of the demand for this model, then HTC hit big trouble ramping up supply of AMOLED screens [from Samsung, ironically].

The most reliable route is to pre-order when that option becomes available.

If DInc history is any guide, this thread will morph from its current high angst to downright anger if the GNex is released but with very limited availability. Nah, they couldn't screw up that badly again, right?

because we've been dealing with similar situations for almost two months now. and yea i dont think vzw is going to release this on 2 days notice

You can choose to believe what you want. I, like others, were simply passing on what we felt was useful information. The CSR I spoke with today at my local VZW corporate store told me it was in their system for a tentative release on December 8th. I then messaged a friend of mine who works at a corporate store in the Chicago area. He told me it wasn't in their system yet, but that didn't surprise him, because system updates are pushed out by region. That doesn't make a ton of sense to me, but I don't work for VZW and don't know a whole lot about how they do business internally.

Anyhow, that's about all I have to say on the issue. Either the information will pan out, or it won't. Either way, I and others were simply passing on what seemed like credible information, and I don't regret it a bit. :)
