I have pondered it but I don't wanna set myself up for disappointment. Plus I work over nights (9pm-7am). I should be sleeping right now lol. I may try calling tonight though.

Lol... Sleep (AND WORK) is over-rated. It's gotten to the point where it seems everyone and their brother is getting "unofficial" confirmations from their local stores and I feel left out  . I'm gonna be calling around and I'll PM you if I get any juicy info from the local ones.

Just talked to another corporate store here in Northern Illinois and the rep said they received their demo this morning and if I wanted to come in I could play with it!!! He also said there shipment should hit the store tomorrow sometime. Gave him my name and number and asked him to call me when he got any more info...

He just called me back and said he made a mistake they actually received 10 Gnexs today but I can not buy one till the 8th... Bingo they are there...:D

I am going to the store this afternoon and will take a pic of the Nexus and post here.... Too spun up :D:D:D

I think it is still not confirmed, but I am very hopeful and feel that Dec 8th or 9th will be the release date. Either way, only a few more days to wait...

Ugh. Like I've said before, either Verizon is filled with morons who can't punctuate or know how to use capital letters appropriately, or the trolls are of lesser caliber then yesteryear.

Not buying it.

I thought the same thing. Ten foot (10') Moto tablet?

Yeah, I skip Customer Service entirely and get myself connected to customer loyalty. They have more powers. :) In fact, I have my own customer loyalty guy who knows me via phone and email. He gave me an early loyalty discount by taking 50 off my bill last month for this month's gnex. :)

Sweet. I'm going to call them up and make them give me one. It'll help that I can say I know others who called and got their discount.

Everyone else going to try?

Guys have a quick question. I just bought the Bionic a week ago. I want to return it for the Gnex. Would I qualify for Verizon's extended return policy for the holidays in case this release date keeps getting pushed back?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I do know there is a $35 restocking fee that applies.

One question about discounts with Verizon (I know there's a thread about discounts, but it hardly gets views):

When I purchase the phone from, say, LetsTalk, would I be able to use my NE2 discount on top of the purchase?

You only get to use your NE2 discount if you buy directly from verizon.
that means you have to buy from one of the following places:
1) Verizonwireless.com
2) Verizon corporate owned stores (not premium retailers)
3) 800-922-0204 or *611

Sometimes you can get a 3rd party to give you the same NE2 discount, but that's a YMMV.

Apparently more are arriving in stores.

January 1st?? odd

I am in, but i do have a question? are you saying that we would have to pay with a Credit Card? what about putting it on our bill? Also that we would not be able to use our NE2 discount?

Thanks

Still catching up, but I just called my local corporate store to ask about charging the phone to my bill. He mentioned that for most phones that is possible. He specifically said that the iPhone was one that COULD NOT be billed. The RAZR on the other hand could. He didn't know about the GNex though. FWIW

So ... those of you who have gotten NE2 discounts pushed earlier, just how much earlier are they willing to go?

I have a NE2 in May. Five months seems far enough out that it isn't reasonable to even think about it. Or is it?

Did you buy directly from Verizon or through a 3rd party retailer?

if you bought directly from verizon then yes you can return it and pay the $35 fee to get the Gnex.

If you bought it from a 3rd party retailer, then you need to check the return policy of the retailer.

Just thought I'd toss a few updates out there from my Verizon experiences the past few days. Like everyone else's please take these with a grain of salt.

Sunday afternoon: Spoke with a Verizon tech about problems with my POS Blackberry connecting to the voice network. At the end of the call asked about the GNex. Everything he knew was from blogs/forums/sites just like us.

Just a few minutes ago: Spoke with my company's Verizon Account Rep about some plan changes. Also asked about the GNex coming out this week. He said he had heard that too but was skeptical since he had not received any training on it yet.

FWIW both of them seemed confident we would see it before Christmas.

Never know until you give it a shot right? Try more than once.

Yes until Jan 15th.

Google? BHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I am not sure what you are implying. Pretty much every google product/service has launched when expected. Albeit many have had issues, or didn't catch on, and were discontinued, especially their web based products.

I think it greatly depends on your luck and the mood the CSR is in.

I've had CSR push up my NE2 date as much as 1 year, and others who wouldn't even move it 1 week.
