And just to clarify, I am not saying for sure this Friday.....have and always have believed that certain criteria have to be met before Verizon sets a release date one of which is all the corp stores have their stock. Mine is not getting them until tomorrow....stay strong I still think Friday is the goal and they are rushing to make sure everything is set.

Cause he's seen a pattern the last three weeks. Last week it was this week. Next week it will be the following week and so on. It's just been one cluster screw up after the other. I don't blame him for going to the TP. Why give a company your business that can't give out a simple release date? Four weeks ago VZW could have said we will be launching the phone on the 15h. Everyone would have been happy and we'd be eight days closer to the launch date. There would have a lot less headaches, pain, and agony over a simple release of a new phone. Plain and simple.
Honestly, to a lot of people who've been waiting on this phone, it's now dead. There is no joy and excitement in getting a new phone when you keep getting strung out on when it's going to be in the customers hands.

For my 100th post...which many of you have surpased a Long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...I would still like to emphasis to everyone to CALM DOWN. In the face of "bad news" and "bad speculation" we need to show we are a much stronger group than that. Focus all of the force on the positive aspects. History is repeating itself...we're getting so close to the supposed release date that the nay-saying HAD to start and the rollercoaster is falling again. Don't LET IT HAPPEN TO YOU. Stay positive!

This is why I and many others have said nothing is confirmed until we see a press release, announcement, an email, etc. from Verizon themselves. There are way too many inconsiderate, Photoshop gurus and convincing liars who will put anything out on the Internet.
I could sit down for an hour, write up a convincing rumor, make the appropriate forgeries in Photoshop, come in here and say that the phone has been delayed until mid-March and some will take that as gospel. Same with these releases. How many times are people going to call stores and chat with CSRs? There have been so many inconsistencies from store to store and person to person...how does one convince themselves that unconfirmed rumors are confirmed facts?
I am completely tuned out for this week and have come to the reality that this phone has little to no chance of releasing this week. If it does, I will be ecstatic, but if it doesn't I refuse to run around livid and depressed because I took a few rumors as fact. If we were being honest with ourselves, even though Verizon has seriously botched the release of the phone, they have NEVER confirmed a release date. The consumers have. We were the ones who believed November 3rd, November 17th, Black Friday, and every other date. Verizon has never once said those were the dates. This is the result of people breaking their company's NDA and sharing information. Has it been fun? Yes. Do we appreciate it? Yes. But this is the end result.
I suppose I'm saying that both parties are at fault: Verizon for mucking up this phone's release and us for taking every little rumor as gospel when in reality, Verizon never said a word. Now don't get me wrong. I'm upset, but only upset because the release of this phone has been a disaster. I take fault in believing the mediocre journalism and rumors that have been running rampant over the last 4-5 weeks. A lot of you should consider the same. If there isn't a press release today or tomorrow, then look for the phone sometime before 12/24. That's the best that we can do for now.

Trouble Just Finds Me!
I bought the bionic a week ago before knowing about the GN. I sure hope Verizon will honor the Holiday Return policy and release it before the 15th because the GN is the phone I want now. My OG bit the dust last week and that pretty much forced me into getting a bionic.

Could somebody possibly jerking everyone's chain? People out there know what kind of a tailspin of despair it would send everyone into here and at other sites. I even smiled when I saw the link - without even opening it, at what trauma/drama and mayhem would ensue. Yes, I laughed at many of you.

Just got off the phone with my local corporate store, he said they were told yesterday that Friday was indeed the launch date, and they were just told about a half hour ago that it will be pushed back "a few days" due to LTE issues. He gave me his name and number and said I can contact him anytime about the issues and release date.

If I dont get this phone this weekend, i am paying my etf and getting some random android on sprint or at&t.....probably not, but I AM that mad!

Yeah, it's weird because people had been hitting powerball in all the other stores in the area. Most of them on November 17th, and one to our north on December 8th. Why is it that the store that popularized powerball just isn't producing the lucky one anymore?
Verizon botched this because the rest of the world is enjoying the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, while we wait for Verizon to finish mysterious 'testing' of the device, to bloat it up, and to disable features like Google Wallet. And we still don't know when all this will be done.
