What is this? Double cover?

Been having problems with 4G on my bionic since late last night here in College Station, TX
3G has been on/off as well. I can make/receive calls but data connection is spotty.

Strange thing, my Samsung 4G mifi is not having any issues. solid 4G connection, and good speeds and it's sitting right next to my phone.

Same thing with my bionic here in livingston,Tx. Data has been dropping all the time. Even having problems receiving calls.

Been offline all morning. With wife at doctor. She took a serious spill at work and is in a great deal of pain. Will be online later.

I implore everyone too love one another in my absence. I'll be back in an hour and a half.

Steven

I am so sorry to hear about your wife, Steven. I hope she will be OK. Sending positive thoughts to her.

There's still a VERY small chance (percentage) things could change at this corporate meeting tomorrow and it be released on Friday, but I would not hold my breath. If I have to be optimistic about it, that's as much as I'm going to give. Maybe, just maybe someone in that meeting will say, "You know what? We're really screwing this up. Give it the green light and push it tomorrow." VERY SMALL CHANCE of that happening, but there's STILL a chance. It isn't completely off the table yet.

If not by Friday, the only source of information I'll be looking for will be in my Gmail inbox saying, 'Its here!'

Get a ReZound. Heck, get a Raze if ya don't like the HTC device!!!! Or resign yourself to getting something else shiny after New stuff comes out Q1 '12.

The longer you wait for a phone that clearly keeps getting pushed back, the more disappointed you are going to be when you finally DO get it, only to find it is already outdated, still has issues, or both.

Just my two cents worth. YMMV

I still think that verizon changed it to coming soon so that employees would quit running their mouths and showing documents never meant to be seen by the public( you and I). Verizon was waiting to issue a PR prob tomorrow saying the 9th and now that that info leaked they are saying it is delayed yet will announce it tomorrow to get all the hype back. JMO

Ok here's an experiment I just did to test 4G issues.

History: My bionic lost 4G connection late last night, and has spotty 3G connection. voice calls work fine. Phone is a personal phone, purchased on 9/8 in Centra CA.
My Samsung 4G mifi has a solid 4G connection sitting next to my bionic. Device was purchased early this year on a corporate account in Central Texas.

Experiment: swap sim cards!
So I took the sim card from the mifi and installed it in my bionic, booted up, bam, within seconds, strong 4G connection. ran a bunch of speed tests, and loaded up a bunch of web sites, updated about a dozen apps. no problems for the 10 minutes I let it run.
Next, took the SIM that came with my bionic and installed it in the samsung mifi, powered it up, no 3g or 4g, searching constantly, over a 10 minute period it was able to get onto 3g for a short periods of time (20 seconds or so) a few times, but couldn't maintain connection.

Next put the SIM that came with the samsung back in it. Instant 4G connection.
Put the SIM that came with my bionic back in the bionic, no data signal, voice works fine.

So it sounds like there are some really strange 4G issues (seems to be tied to particular sim card(s)?

Just thought it was interesting enough to share.
BTW in the few minutes it took me to type this, my bionic has gone from no data to 1x to 3g and back to no data about a dozen times.
the samsung mifi still shows strong 4G connection.

Not sure if this has anything to do with it, just noticed that the SIM card that came with the mifi has a PRL of 15073 while the SIM that came with my bionic has PRL of 15088
Again, not sure if that has anything to do with the 3G/4G connectivity issue, just trying to share as much info as I can find.
