just got the text from my friend who works in a corporate store:

"lots of nexus boxes in the store and although 9th was supposed to be the date, they took it back. not sure what is happening but must be something for the date to be changed."

maaaaaaaaaan. ever since i got the software update, my DInc is becoming a nightmare. I need a new phone.
 
Some stores are going to inevitably sell this on the 9th. No way Verizon corp thinks they can stop every store from selling it. They probably just want to announce it on their own terms tomorrow.

He said I could come check out the phone, because they did recieve them in the store last night. Also he would call me as soon as he got new info.

Unfortunately, I just confirmed the above with my contacts and my Corporate Store Manager.

S/He also stated that the SME wasn't even assigned yet.

The waiting game continues ...

Watch, Verizon is just trolling us soooo hard. They pulled back the release date just so they could announce it tomorrow morning and we will all fall in love with them again...

The longer you wait for a phone that clearly keeps getting pushed back, the more disappointed you are going to be when you finally DO get it, only to find it is already outdated, still has issues, or both.

Played with all three. The Nexus is, IMO (emphasized to make it clear that it is an opinion), head and shoulders above the other two. Not just for ICS either. It is the best experience I've ever had on Android, and I'm willing to wait for whenever for it honestly. The R&R seem like settling for second place now.

Again, this is just my opinion from playing with all 3.

That is for a walmart ad, so it makes sense they usually get phones later than verizon does.
