I was quite upset to see p3droid leave twitter due to the circumstances. What has he actually done to harm anyone? It doesn't matter that he has an "attention-seeking" posting style. No-one has the right to get angry at him about release dates and the like because he is NOT Verizon. He has been targeted either because people are jealous or feel like he owes them something for following him. Nobody pays him any money for his tweets so nobody should feel entitled to expect information or anything else from him. That's just human decency and common sense and I find it disturbing that some good people on this forum would act in such a way.

You may not like what I said and I expect people to retort, but that's just the way I see it. In my eyes, he has been treated unfairly.

Absolutely. If there's no more P3, Moto users are screwed (probably non-Nexus Samsung users too). No SBF/Recovery = No development. That's what "we" get for biting the hand that feeds. Definitely an additional reason to get a Nexus.
P3 has been a whore but he's done more for Vzw user than almost anyone else. Sad to see him go.

I totally agree that VZ will not see another Nexus for a very looooong time if ever...

I will be going to AT&T. In my area both VZW and AT&T have the same coverage in 3G. 4G LTE with AT&T will be coming soon, probably around the same time my contract with VZW is up. I think it is March or April.

the changing of the equipment guide to coming soon doesnt bother me nearly as much as now having the search for 5801 on the site come up with no accessorries at all anyone else feel thats the mroe concerning part?

I totally agree that VZ will not see another Nexus for a very looooong time if ever...

I really think this is going to be a big hit for both VZW & Google. Let's face it, if the phone sells like crazy and is on the best network, lots of money is being made by both. There will be another Nexus on VZW if it's a financial success - this launch will be soon forgotten and replaced with a lot of happy people playing with new toys!

lol there's no way it would be canceled at this point, all the money that went into developing the cdma/lte vzw version, all the stock they have already bought sitting in stores, and I'm sure there's some contractual obligations with radioshack/cosco/samsung/etc that would end up in even more lost money.

I tried other currently released phone IDs as well, they all come up empty. It just seems they've stopped indexing results based on Device ID of the accessories.

I really don't think so. They would have to eat the cost of ALL their devices since they're already manufactured and already in stores in many places. No way are they going to just drop it and eat the cost of all of them. They're too greedy to do that.

I think the phone will be a success (god willing if the dang thing ever is put on sale!), but my guess is that ISIS could trump phone sales in terms of revenue. I totally hope I'm wrong here!

Correct me if I am wrong but weren't these searches just returning generic accessories?

Not trolling. But the only reason i could see phone getting cancelled ... Vzw has broken federal law by not allowing google wallet. Is that one thing that can be remedied on already produced nexus phones?

He isn't the only developer and especially when it comes to samsung. There are plenty of other dev's who do great work so you can't think that just because p3 is no longer on twitter that he is going to stop developing. He still has mydroidworld and tbh...

THIS, people don't seem to understand all the sbfs and odin files that p3 has leaked to the community that without them there would be next to none development. Who wants to build a rom with the high chance of permabricking your phone.. nobody. P3 has built roms and leaked files for pretty much every phone I have used, he has been an absolute godsend, people on the internet are ridiculous...

Yeah I'm getting a distinct 1984 feeling to all of this...probably not cancelling it, just covering their arse with any possibility of leaked info/etc after the 9th date was leaked.
