They are selling 4G LTE phones, I bought a Rezound last night to try to get in on the unlimited data thing... and it was shipped fedex. CSR told me I could turn phone in to corporate store without restocking fee, which is what I plan on doing to get the Nexus when it does come out...so long as is does come out within 14 days lol.

That seems pretty legit. My brother texted me the other day and told me that he think Verizon was throttling his service since he hit 10gb on his phone. Comes out that the 4G was experiencing problem. Lets hope it is back up by Friday so we have all weekend to goof around with our new toy.
Well there goes the shoddy 4g being the delay reason. Hoping for friday still!

Well, if this is the week, today should be a big day. If not, just another day like every day for the past month or so. I'm calling my local verizon store and asking for the rep that told me to call back today to confirm launch on Friday and calling the Radio Shack that said they should get them in today or yesterday. The Radio Shack said they would put my name down for one regardless. Here's hoping to good news later.

I can give that a shot (calling about a RAZR). I'm on the east coast, and earliest store near me opens at 9. Maybe they'll say "just come get a Nexus instead!"

I have to design 8 different refrigeration cycles for a Thermo class, and I just got done doing the 4 that use HFC-134a as the refrigerant. Now on to HFC-401a. Just taking a 5 am nexus break as I work through the night.

(a long time ago now)401a sounds familiar but its been too long, what did it replace R-22?
Has anyone ever tried getting someone like Best Buy to price match the Verizon retail price with any success? Seems like they should since that is an in store price not necessarily online. I guess the problem is how do you prove it they normally want a copy of an add or something printed.
In 1 hour I really hope thats the news you come back with lol. Also try inquiring about the nexus and see what fate the execs have for us Nexians waiting on the edge of our seats.

Why indeed. Logistically speaking, it would be a nightmare to pull their entire LTE line up because of spotty network outages. Not to mention the hit they would take in sales and sign-ups would be rather substantial I think.
So why withhold the Nexus? Well it would be easy. It's not for sale yet, not on the floor of stores...a simple memo to employees would be sufficient enough so they can explain to customers, "It's not out yet" instead of having to explain why they pulled a phone from sale because of outages. It just seems like it would be more of an effort and burden to pull their lineup for a temporary problem then it would be to just withhold an unreleased phone.
Also, introducing thousands of new phones to the network during issues like this will just place more of a burden on their customer service outlets.
I don't know, it has a semblance of sense to me.
Guys not to be a debbie downer, but if the "push" screenies are accurate (I think their legit) I would be EXTREMELY surprised if they did a 180 at this point for Friday
Note: I feel you guys if it DOESN'T sell Friday I'm screwed, I leave on a trip and won't be able to get it till the 20th... With the expected demand there is a good possibility that it could sell out, leaving me stuck till Jan.

I don't know about Jersey but here in MD you can get a ticket for using your phone while driving (even stopped at a red light)

Agreed. They know how many of us are just waiting for the Nexus to drop before upgrading. One look at VZW's Facebook or Twitter can confirm that, with all the "ZOMG NEXUS!!!" being thrown at them.
They can't pull every 4G phone without a public relations nightmare, but they can keep the amount of 4G activations during the outage more limited by holding back the release of a phone they know will get a ton of activations in a day.
Like I said yesterday, the last thing you want to do when you're having difficulties with something is to throw more work at it.

401 is in inline with 134a, a 134a expansion valve will work on 401, r410a replaced 22.
