You very well may be correct, I sure hope you are. They may actually know, but once again are not telling but the different stores are keeping the same story.

I tend to agree with you but as someone pointed out yesterday when I said that they did release the droid 3 with an after the fact announcement.

So that people can't say, well I can just wait a week to see which one I like better. Most people (not us) will go with what they know now and what is available to them now.
Luckily for us, we were all raised to be patient. Well... at least patient enough to withstand Verizon's stupidity.

I agree. I'm not nearly as pissed as I would have been last week or the week before.

Also, I had a chance to finally look at it last night at a corporate store. Is it beautiful? Yes.

But I was struck by the sudden realization that this is just a phone.

I didn't get a nerdgasm like I thought I would. It was nice. But it's a phone.

It'll come when it comes. But I really am wondering if I should wait and see what the Transformer Prime is all about. . .I'm not sure.
 
Verizon and the Galaxy Nexus fiasco is killing me, I don't sleep well and check this forum first and last every day, every time I get an email or phone call I get excited then disappointed since it's not about the Nexus... Ugh, I'm not sure my body can take much more.

My girlfriend just picked one up for her Inspire 4G -- they are really cool cases although I think I am going to run my naked or in my TPU case.

You would think, right?? Yesterday one of my coworkers comes and talks to me about phones, because I'm the techy guy in my office, asks he wants to get his daughter a new phone, immediately....

Me: Get the Nexus for you and give your daughter the D3.
CW: That's cool, I'll go get it.
Me: You can't yet..
CW: Huh?
Me: It supposed to be released Friday maybe Monday but no one is really sure right now.
CW: Well who knows when its coming out. I don't want to wait.
Me: You have to wait at least a week or you'll wish you had.
CW: OK.

Two hours later comes back in my office to show me his new LG something... He said he didn't want to wait for a phone that has no specific day to buy..

TRUE STORY!!

When the first white iPhone came out everyone bum rushed Apple stores to get it, and everyone was like, "omg look at my new iphone! It's white!!!" I agree that's probably true for the masses and those who follow them.

Personally, I wear a lot of black and other dark neutral colors and my phone is probably my main accessory. I don't like putting bright colored cases on it so I like the idea of a white phone contrasting everything else I have. White does make me feel different and what's wrong with that? :)

I understand that is is a very small portion of customers...

But the extra 2 years is where they make their money
 
Okay I have a question, last night someone mentioned this may be I think they said icon phone but I can't remember (and search isn't being my friend this morning.)

Anyway it was mentioned you had to be eligible for upgrade to get it. Well I got my Droid X when they first came out but my upgrade date says 3/22 on the Verizon website but it also says I am eligible for discounted phones. I think our upgrade date was screwed up when we changed the primary on our account from me to my husband.

Finally my question, is this 3/22 date going to prevent me from getting my nexus? Do I need to call Verizon and plead with them to move the date up?
 
Ok, I hate to add another "I called" etc type post, but here goes.

I just called my local Costco (I'm in NJ) and according to the lady I talked to. They have a few in stock and a far as she knows, they are selling them tomorrow.

I'm going to see how true that holds up tomorrow. Maybe some good luck, but at this point I'm not holding to much hope.

Also, congrats to Steven. This is one of the best forums to visit :)
