I love the fact that I feel like I can be myself here.Ok, but we're still all in agreement that our "tester" is showing us the real deal?
The video certainly looks like the real deal. The only issue I have with is is the lock screen. So help me, if we get stuck with the same half-baked lock screen that we've been stuck with on 1.5, I'm going to be sorely disappointed. I can't keep using LockBot, it's too limiting. Give me a grown-up lock screen, for the love of Christ!
I saw somebody mention Feb. 22. Is that the latest rumored date? Is their one for Feb. 18?![]()
I'm lost as to what's going on now I'm going back to sleep.

The lock screen on the Eris is part of Sense. What don't you like about it? Personally I love the integration it has with the music player.
I do love the music player integration, but I don't see why that has to be limited to that particular lock screen, nor am I sure that it's tied to Sense--I have the same lock screen/music player integration regardless of whether I'm running Sense or Home (and I haven't been running Sense for a few weeks).
My issue is, with the lock screens on the iPhone and Android 2.X, there's a small, about half-inch-square area that can be touched to unlock the screen, and it has to be slid sideways--a combination of touch-movement less likely to be accidentally replicated in a pocket. With the 1.5 lock screen, it's a wide band, and it's slid downward. For me personally, this results in a great many accidental unlocks in the pocket. It's gotten leaps and bounds better with that last upgrade (now that you actually have to touch the bar, not just the entire screen--with that, my thigh was unlocking my phone CONSTANTLY), but it still feels sloppy to me, and I still get many more accidental unlocks than I do when running lockbot, or when I had my iPhone.
But then again, it might just be the movement of my sexy hips, the phone can't help but unlock itself.
What? Nevermind.
The other issue is that the "Menu" button also unlocks the screen; I can see why some might want that, but it needs to be configurable so that it's possible to let only the swipe actually unlock the phone. I think that's the source of many of my pocket unlocks. I do put the phone in upside down, with the screen toward me; that may cause fewer false swipes when pulling it out.
But I agree that I'd like the option of a side swipe in the native lock screen (in addition to the Menu disable)
) but because there seems to be some quirks with this phone like the battery issues and another I noticed in low signal areas where my storm showed a bar the Eris showed NOTHING, yet I was able to make a call with no issues?? Hoping these kind of things get cleared up nothing more.it actually downgraded though? i heard reports that you can not downgrade.
