No other reason is needed - he was not informed of the thriving tech markets in Africa - and Slug corrected that mistake in the post following yours.

There's nothing else of merit here, really, so let's move on.
 
Here in Arizona, just got called by Corporate store. He said he has phone but phone was on hold and he couldn't sell it to me today. He is calling the minute the hold is off. He said they had great sales this weekend, I said no just call me when I can get the Galaxy. He had no idea why the phone was on hold. He sounded sick of Verizon communication as well.

He also said they are not allowed to be on display until they go on sale...

Awesome! It was bound to happen eventually today. Third parties have obviously not go great direction on the stop sale and are just going to ignore their system reluctance to allow them to get their commission.

Puppy/work stuff
So one of my pups was up all night puking from her vaccine she got on Tuesday. She had a reaction last time, but not this bad. She's miserable, poor little girl. She hasn't eaten since last night (and then she would only have bananas) and every time she drinks a lot of water she throws it up today.
But I had to work, so she is at home with her Daddy and sister, hopefully starting to feel better. Then I get to go home and care for her while doing homework and he heads to work. We are not getting anything done on the house today, that is for sure. :(
Her sister is taking good care of her too - she's barely eating either, out of sympathy it seems. She's such a sweetie. We really are so lucky to have some of the best pets ever. It's awful seeing her like this - I'm terrified of having an actual child get sick now if seeing the puppy like this makes me so sad.
And I'm stuck here at work. Watching the forum and transcribing CNN 9/11 footage for a film that's already shot, so they can add this stock footage dialogue to the script. Dumbest job ever.

I have my 5 year old daughter's Girl Scout (Daisy) Daddy and Daughter Dance!

I'm normally so hesitant to do any public dancing kind of stuff but this is a must as I can honestly look her future boyfriend in the eye and tell him I took her out on her first date, danced with her first and showed her what a gentleman is like and HE BETTER do his best to emulate that.

Nice! Hopefully Amazon is sandbagging my ship date since it would be great to play with before Christmas especially if other shops are shipping next week.

I went to buy the phone thinking there's no way I'm walking out of this store with it. The activation went through just fine but they couldn't ring up the sku.

So they hand wrote a purchase agreement and copied my credit card (they were assuming they could run it later today when the sku was active) they never got word from their boss stating anything different from the 9th as being the launch date.

When I got home and pulled the phone out of the box I seen they called & texted, they were frantically trying to reach me of course I knew it was it was all about.

but here is the good news...When I called Verizon to make certain that my upgrade eligabity was reset, I explained to the rep what happened. The Verizon rep was very forthcoming and told me that Verizon has not deleted the Nexus from their info guide but only hidden it, she says the release date is there and it's the 15th. I asked how she knew this and she said she really wants the Nexus so she went digging and found it, of course we all know that could change, but I don't doubt the rep for 1 second (and I usually doubt everything) that the 15th is the target date.

Google Wallet isn't a standard ICS feature at all. It's not available on the GSM Unlocked Galaxy Nexus. It's not a part of the AOSP, meaning that Google, Verizon, nor anyone else is "stripping" it from ICS or the Galaxy Nexus. Look up the source code on Google's own site. Google Wallet is NOT in there. Google Wallet is a Sprint-exclusive application, only found on the Sprint Nexus S 4G, a carrier branded, subsidized phone. If you were to take a GSM unlocked, unbranded, Galaxy Nexus or Nexus S, only hook it up to WIFI, go into the Android Market and search for Google Wallet, you will not find it.

There are no legal proceedings or talks or otherwise. For whatever reason, this is a Sprint-only feature. I have no idea why anyone would think a Sprint feature would be on a Verizon phone, or why it is the cause of the hang up.

Because they saw "NFC" in the specs, felt entitled and "expected" it to be a part of the phone.

I'm somewhat disappointed, I had hoped for Google Wallet to function out of the box, but its hardly a deal breaker.

I just called my local radio shack. She said the release date she was looking at said 12/11. Sunday

I this k im done following every bit of heresy. If it launches im sure ill hear about it before it sells out. Either that or ill just chk this thread every few hrs. Cuz my performance at work has SUFFERED lol
 
This thread is the blue nuts of tech today lol..

Its like a 'special' kind of club where you can see it, touch it and play with it... but damned you can't take it home lol...
