Totally agree!

My engagement ring is a 2 carat pink topaz in an antique-style engraved setting

It looks like a ring of power and is amazing. :)

ETA: And it leaves me with some cash for gadgets!

if i were sure they'd be available on the 29th, i'd wait. my worry is that they will be backordered all over the place...which is why i've been trying all week to get my upgrade date moved up.

Hahaha. Exactly. I've actually converted her which could be a problem. She just told me the other day that she wants to trade her Flex in for a Range Rover Evoque. I told her I liked her better when she had poor taste in cars. ;)

Ahh you would have regretted getting it when the nexus comes out.

Side note: Have a friend (younger kid) that his parents bought him the rezound and he just took back his 2nd one as they both started boot looping. Pretty sure he doesn't mod. He ended up getting the bionic.

I just happen to walk into the store they were in. They said what would get? I said "This guy isn't going to like what I say but wait for the nexus" He is 16 and couldn't stand to go back to his old phone for (a week, or two, or three) :)

tldr - same story as everyone else.

You guys are a bad influence.... I'm at work and know my boss is in a meeting so figure what the hell, I'll call radioshack. I call, guy doesn't really know anything so he puts me on hold, comes back and says they just got a shipment in but isn't sure if they're able to sell it right away because it doesn't have some sticker on it. He took down my name and number and said he'll call back later... So I didn't get anywhere but who knows, maybe he'll call back and say Sunday also.

I believe the original post indicated that the damages would be the restocking fee and or early termination fee if one were deceived into purchasing a phone based upon purposeful deception. As stated in the original post the damages are minimal but I contend that in the above referenced situation they are damages regardless. The odds of me drafting a demand letter are slim to none. I'm just venting as I cleared my schedule today in anticipation of this phone being released today.

Her sister is taking good care of her too - she's barely eating either, out of sympathy it seems. She's such a sweetie. We really are so lucky to have some of the best pets ever. It's awful seeing her like this - I'm terrified of having an actual child get sick now if seeing the puppy like this makes me so sad.

The reason it costs so much is because you're only using 1 drive bay and it's "easier" to manage. I wouldn't want to deal with a drive failure with a hard drive that huge though, that scares the living crap out of me

This makes more sense to me.

I've got 400 GB of (legally) ripped movies and TV shows in HD sitting on my hard drive, and I'm always worrying it's going to fail.
 
So once this blasted thing finally drops, what's the best place to buy it? Corporate store? Authorised reseller? Best Buy? Radio Shack? I've always been a little unclear on the relative advantages and disadvantages of each. Do you gain or lose something by choosing one shop over another?

BTW - I recall predicting a few days ago that people would have the Nexus in their hands by Monday, with either a release or retailers not missing the opportunity to miss sales over a holiday weekend in December.

My prediction was the dam would break - and say, the cracks are forming. :) ;)

PS - That I tipped the press on those three incredible stories and that's likely to go viral has absolutely nothing to do with it.

Now - once again - I hope you all get your Nexii tout de suite and meanwhile, I'm going to TRY to go back to lurking. :p
