going for a look similar to this [THEME] [PROJECT-V] WP7 Style - UPDATED 9/9/11 - xda-developers won't be exactly like it but close

dunno if I'm gonna call it simple blue or give it a new name yet

if your using 7zip you can copy straight to the zip, there will be a pop up asking if you want to add the files and you click ok

Yeah I tried that. When I move the mouse pointer over to drop it it shows the circle with the slash thru it instead of the pointer and I tried the copy and paste method and when I right click to paste it the paste option is grayed out.

Loving CTMOD 2.3 Blooddawn, thank you for your hard work. I cannot wait to see the new blue theme running smoothly on my prevail.

I have a question that might have been answered before but here it goes.
How beneficial is it to move the dalvik cache to your sd card and how would I do that. I have apps and everything installed but would not mind wiping and starting fresh if it is worth it. Also only have a 2 GB mem. stick so I dont know if it would choke down my space or not.

a2sd can move the dalvik to the sdcard and also all your apps. It helped a ton when I had a 2gig sdcard.

thanks for the reply ford, another question. I used link2sd to move apps to the sd card. would it be easier and make a cleaner install if I uninstalled all the apps wiped my sd card clean then installed darktremor a2sd and went from there.

When I had link2sd. I just moved all my apps back to the internal memory and uninstalled link2sd then followed the directions in the a2sd thread.

Go to that thread for any questions

Hey bloodawn sorry to bug ya, but sms/mms works and all on phone but i noticed when i try to send a picture say from camera which is not a large image it takes for ever and sometimes never sends at all. even at full sig

boost has had some problems with mms lately

the widget is Beautiful Widgets with honeyclock skin for the clock and Tick skin for weather

I have engadget installed on my phone and I know it used to have a widget option on froyo. I updated to GB and installed cwm and ctmod 2.2 then updated to 2.3 and was just wondering is the widget broken because of root or is it not compatible with GB.

@Bloodawn, I have been sitting back watching the forum threads ever since I bought my Prevail back in June/July and I am very impressed with your work. I enjoyed Shabbymod .9 for awhile, but my phone still seemed to lag, crash sometimes, etc. I just decided today to wipe and restart.. plus I was getting annoyed with the update to Gingerbread message constantly nagging me.. so I decided to head towards something more simple and less bloated... I had problems rerooting my phone.. I tried the latest one-click Root, etc. just could not get it to Root again... so initially, I decided to just install the rooted Gingerbread Rom in the Odin thread.. unfortunately that link dies during download about 39 MBs through.. but I just googled for another download link and found it.. I installed with Odin, installed CWM and then installed your ROM... I was amazed! It was almost as if you designed this plain jane ROM exactly for me.. I think bells and whistles are nice to some extent.. but with this particular phone, it doesn't have the memory or clockspeed for all those fancy things..in my opinion. So, anyways, I just wanted to let you know that you did a great job and I am very impressed. I have every intention of slipping you a donation for your outstanding work very soon.. Thanks for all your hardwork and dedication in a truly amazing and simple ROM for the prevail..

One question, and I apologize if it has been asked already.. or I just missed it... Will this be available for the precedent since they are similar? I have some friends that have that phone as well, and I know they are basically the same phone besides the carriers and such.

Thanks again... look forward to the theme you have teased us with recently as well.

I went back to beautiful widgits today after not having used it since Shabbymod .8, I think. I had switched to Fancy Widgits which is also pretty cool, but then decided that I did not need all that stuff on my homescreen.

I have been plain vanilla since then, but I have been using Weather Bug Elite since before GB came out. Nice app.

Since GB (and maybe before), I have noticed that my battery life was not as good as when I first followed the steps laid down by New Optimus. I was getting almost three days without a charge. Now I am back to getting about 16 hours.

It looks like Weather Bug may have been part of the problem. Since I uninstalled it and went with the Beautiful Widgit on my homescreen, I have noticed that my battery is discharging much more slowly. As I said, I just did this today, so I will keep an eye on it. The decreased battery life has been about the only negative I have seen since GB and CTMOD. I know that many others say that CTMOD improved their battery life, so I have been wanting to take the time to figure out what app or other thing was causing my problem.

I love CTMOD and it makes my phone run like a champ. That paired with A2SD seem to be allowing my Prevail to run videos and Netflix with only reasonable interruptions in low signal areas. I had pretty much given up on videos before that. In areas with good reception, videos run without a hitch.

The Beautiful Widgit does look nice on my CTMOD home screen. And with the addition of the animated weather screen, it gives me all the info that I need in a snazzy presentation.

I too have found that I am not getting quite as good of battery as I used to.
I modded gb to and had better then decent battery then I decided to go with ctmod, for the ciq removal. I find the battery drain is slightly higher.
I also found that with ciq removed on froyo I am unsure why that is it seems counter intuitive as with less processes it should be better.:(

It's highly likely that CIQ is not a processor intensive application.
That could translate into the thread manager switching control to fewer, but more calculation heavy processes.

It's kinda like tuning a motor. You remove some of the restrictions to airflow and you make a bit more power, but you might end up burning a lot more fuel.

you are using 7zip right? maybe this will help, if not then i dunno

How to use the CTMod app zip - YouTube

might needa make it full screen to see anything

Aah ok. I didn't realize that I had to open both the RemovedAppsGB.zip AND the ApkInstaller.zip with 7zip and copy them over like that. I was only opening ApkInstaller.zip with 7zip and opening RemovedAppsGB.zip the normal way and was trying to copy. My bad, lol. Dohhh! :Slaps hand on forehead: Lmao! Thanks for clearing that up. I will try it that way.

And here I was thinking there was not going to be something out to truly optimize this phone for what it is... oh... was I wrong! o_O

To the team putting CTMod together and all the feedback that encouraged the drive to make it what it is today.... THANKS!! :D
