okay so time for some humor after whatever happened before. so before i left for work i grabbed a blank piece of paper and wrote down 3 authorized resellers bout 7 radio shacks 1 costco and 2 walmarts. almost all played clueless but here are a couple that stood out. oh and i called the walmarts cause when you search for locations on vzw.com i figured wth.

1 radio shack said they prolly wont be getting it in cause their a smaller store so most likely by order only but then salesperson said have u ever seen the razr? i said i did and no way its better than nexus to which he replied it superior in every way tho. i said oh yea where? well build quality razr has kevlar and moto will be faster he said and i replied dont they have same processor and he said no razr is faster so i said what about the screen which is better? he paused then replied the razr and nexus have about the same screen quality with razr with over better sound quality and build.

and the walmart i called and said hey i have verizon and have an upgrade and was wondering if you had the samsung galaxy nexus to which she replied contract or prepay? i started laughin and said either or! haha and hungup

the vzw corp store i got to at 10am and rep told me monday but 3 radio shacks said the 15th. okay back to lurking and watching the best movie of all time. FORREST GUMP!

So if the Google Wallet / Verizon ISIS issue is really what is holding up the phone here's my take on it

So if Verizon released the phone right now without Google wallet I think they're afraid it'll give Google the upper hand. My reasoning is once the phone is out there Google can get their lawyers involved and get Google Wallet on the phone. If the phone isn't released Verizon has the upper hand and can get their hand in Google's pocket. Therefore I can definitely believe Wallet/ISIS could be causing the delay.

This makes me wonder: who owns the phones that are currently sitting in boxes in backrooms of stores? Does Verizon buy the phones before they're sold to consumers, or does Samsung/Google own this phone and Verizon is just selling it for them? What I'm getting at is, if this is a Google Wallet issue, if the parties reach an impasse and the phones designed for Verizon's network don't get released, who bears the loss?

So is anyone else being told Sunday at Best Buy? Talked to a sales person there and she said they'd have them for sale.....probably bs, but I'll be there to find out for myself...

Currently running Ice Cream Sandwich on my Droid 3. It's sweet! Significantly reduces lag. It's buggy but this makes me want the Galaxy Nexus that much more! And to all those who say they can just wait for the update, this something you do not want to have to wait 6 months for. The speed changes/snappiness/improved UI is something that do not want to have sit out and watch other people use for 6-9 months. And have the possibility that the manufacturer skin can screw it up.

NFC is extremely popular in Asia. They have had this technology for quite a while now, maybe at least a decade or so. In Japan, they use it for many things, such as passport, vending machine, credit card, maybe school ID's, and other things. However it is still relatively in its infancy in the United States. Places like New York City, Los Angeles, and other major cities may be the first to hugely implement these systems, followed by smaller areas. I know that some places by me already have the system in place. Imagine not having to carry around a passport anymore. All your Data would be stored inside your phone. Of course you may want to set up some sort of Biometric locking mechanism to prevent access if you accidently lose your phone or somebody robs you. But at least you won't have to walk around with a wallet that doesn't even fit in your pants.

Good night all. I have two basketball games to coach tomorrow. FWIW I am 4-0 since last Saturday as coach. My JV team is 2-0 and both of my younger boys teams won last Saturday. Lets hope the winning continues tomorrow.

Good night and good luck!!!!

Noooooooooooo! Blasphemy! Ten times better than 7-11!!!!!

10 times bigger in most cases. With at least 50 gas pumps. ;)

It's like a 7-11... Times 100... And they sell the best sandwiches in the world. South Jersey

Yes, yes. Better and bigger but for someone who doesn't know it was the quickest national chain that would give her an idea. :D

He didn't say that.. I don't believe you.. Really?? You didn't slug him right there? Or hit him with your purse? :p

Steven.....Gramma don't lie.....it's not in our "Gramma manual"...yes, he did say that. He was a cute, very nervous young man...maybe first job,...I don't know. Reminded me of my grandson so I wasn't about to get him in trouble. ALTHOUGH, I DO look forward to seeing him again on launch day,...if I haven't kicked the bucket by then.....

Oh, the Sheetz vs Wawa conversation... I feel like I'm back at Penn State.... if you guys are going to compare at least keep it civil so we don't have the board locked down AGAIN. They're both good, depending on where you live and grew up your going to have a favorite, I'm a Pittsburgh boy therefore I'm a Sheetz guy, I have a few friends who live outside of Philly, they always say Wawa is better.

Wow you live in McLean? I went to Langley HS... before I moved to CA

I live in Langley Forest, less than a mile from Langley HS, and both my older children went there. Know it well. My daughter is now in law school in Sacramento. Small world man!

I think my post got lost in the plethora of posts, and I really would like to know if anyone can answer:

Does a new Nexus come out every year like the iPhone?? I ask because I would be less inclined to switch phones every 2 months :).

Short answer: yes (Nexus One (1/10), Nexus S (12/10, Galaxy Nexus (well, you know)
